Review The Raddle Inn - Tean

Absolutely spot on for the money. Stayed here for a night after Alton Towers and honestly wasn't expecting anything amazing based on other reviews but was completely pleasantly surprised. I found very few negatives about this place and they were far outweighed by the positives so not even worth mentioning. Cabins were clean and had everything we needed, hot tub was lovely and welcomed after a long day around the theme park and the pub was amazing. Food was hot and fresh and the staff so polite and welcoming. Honestly would not think twice about booking here again, fantastic value for money.

Rooms where lovely and spacious plenty of space for 3 adults 1 baby and 1 child. Food at the raddle inn was lovely, and massive portions so great value. We only stayed here because we was at scarefest in Alton towers. Wd didnt explore the area but was quite out of the way but for us wasnt a problem.

Stunning little place, the log cabins are great, and the hottubs just top it all off, just what i needed after a long days walking around alton towers, there was 5 of us in our cabin, and we still had plenty of room, the pub food was out of this world, i cannot find one fault with this place, thank you so much 😊

We had Dinner at the Raddle Inn and were seated in a heated pod in the garden. Was lovely setting for an evening meal, warm and cosy. Food was top notch and staff were attentive. Fast service.

Beautiful location - as has already been commented on by others. If you come on a sunny day you'll enjoy it to its fullest potential with fantastic views. There are plenty of outdoor areas to sit and drink/eat - including the "pods". Staff friendly and helpful - needless to say we had plenty of questions. We dined inside - great character - as someone who likes horses I was interested in the pictures. Apparently the owners used to have a share in a racehorse. (Photos are near the bar!) I opted for vegetarian shepherds pie (guess what - I'm vegetarian) - this was a bit bland, could have done with more lentil filling, but still plenty of flavour. I think I'd probably have a lighter meal if I was to eat there again. But vegetarians can be reassured there there are other options to choose from on the menu. Definitely intend to return and would recommend.

Had a great meal there and for a good price. Service very good. Beautiful landscape and view with two lovely llamas in the grounds. Good experience and will maybe try the suspended pods outside next time

Great location- we stayed for one night whilst visiting Alton Towers for two days. We were a party of five and booked a 3 bed cabin with a hot tub The accommodation is of a good standard and is ideal for a one night stay I am not sure I would stay longer than a night as the cabins are in need of some TLC. They are clean and tidy but the furniture is a little worn but what do you expect after so many lockdowns . The pub and restaurant is amazing it is a typical local pub but it has great Ale and amazing home cooked pub food that is great quality. the tables have a pager system if you press a button the waitress attends your table, i wish other restaurants did this as it stop waiting staff bothering you asking if you need anything. The staff were really busy and still the were very attentive The food was hot and very tasty.

I stayed here at the weekend for my sisters hen do. The staff was extremely helpful and polite they couldnt do enough for you. The lodge cabin was amazing and the hot tub was the best. The staff even brought the meal up to the cabin for us. The food was amazing. I would definitely come here again and would highly recommend to anyone.

Very disappointing food was below standard the soup was a Congealed mess of over cooked vegetables with no liquid. The chips were soggy the chicken 🍗 was over cooked and dry the steak should have been medium rare but it was blue and still mooing. The best thing going for it is the view other than that our experience was diabolical and we will never return or recommend it to our family and friends.

This weekend stayed at a lodge at the raddle inn for my hen do it was the best weekend ever. All the staff were extremely friendly, nothing was too much trouble and even let us order food and brought it up to the lodge on plates! All the food was home cooked and was delicious I would highly recommend to stay here for a lovely few days getaway and the hot tub was a massive bonus.

The Raddle Inn is a lovely traditional English pub with a good selection of real ales on tap. We stayed for two nights on their campsite in June because we were going to Alton Towers which is just a couple of miles up the road. The campsite is lovely, it might be quite basic but it has everything that we need including a couple of showers, toilets & fresh running water. There are electric hook ups if needed. The fact that the pub does a great full English breakfast is a huge bonus, especially as we arrived on site (by arrangement with the owner) at 4am, put our tent up & grabbed a few hours sleep before our day out at Alton Towers. The staff & Pete the landlord couldn't have been more friendly or accommodating had they tried. The pub grub menu is large enough to offer a good selection of dishes ranging from traditional fare of steak & ale pies to chicken jalfreezi, a godsend when you've worn yourself out on the rides up the road! The only downside is the quarry next door, which is noisy to wake up to, but for us it served as an alarm clock. The clue's in the address which is Quarrybank; it wasn't a problem for us but it might be for others in which case you can always book a lodge & enjoy a hot tub while you're there... (sadly that wasn't included in the campsite fee!)

What a beautiful little romantic country pub!!! Roaring log burner fires, attentive staff and the food was fabulous!!! My eyes nearly popped out of their sockets when I saw the size of the plate, and home cooked proper chips!! Delicious!! Highly recommend this little gem to everyone!!
