What an absolute Little Gem of a place we found today ,the Vintage Tea Room Oakengates is well worth a visit very friendly service Great menu fantastic homemade pastries and cakes, and the cream tea was to die for all very reasonably priced, we could not fault it will definitely be back.
Had a lovely cheese and potatoe pie and salad for lunch and the biggest piece of caramel cake and it was to die for ! I had 4 cups of tea out of my pot . it was very friendly and spotless clean well worth a visit i will certainly be going back to have something else of the menu and definatly another piece of their delicious cake 10/10 from me !����
Would highly recommend the vintage tea room, we had a fantastic afternoon tea with yummy sandwiches and tasty cake all in a pretty tea room with very attentive friendly staff. I will be coming back to sample more yummy cakes xx
Went to the tea room today for my moms birthday. It was so tasty. The lady that served us was lovely and brought out a little cake with a candle on top for my mom. Will defiantly be going back. � Thankyou vintage tea room. X

Visited yesterday for my best friends 40th birthday. We had the afternoon tea with the choice of sandwiches, we had scones with cream and jam , cakes with a lit candle for my friend, unlimited pots of tea that they kept coming. Service was excellent and couldn't fault them, price was fantastic, we had a lovely time thanks x

Cannot thank Nicki and staff enough. My girlies were 7 today and they made it so special for them with an afternoon tea and squash in the teapot and cups they felt like little princesses. Absolutely lovely cakes and food. Will definitely be back. Xx
My friend and I went here for afternoon tea today as a late birthday lunch, we were not disappointed. The staff were friendly, the food was really lovely and a nice variety of sandwiches/cakes. We will definitely be visiting again! X

Me and my mum went for afternoon tea the staff couldn’t have been more welcoming, they were amazing, everything that was on the stand was amazing, thank you we loved it definitely will be coming again.
Was surprised by my family with a lovely afternoon tea for Mother's Day. The atmosphere was lovely, they even put squash in a teapot for my youngest which made him feel special. The sandwiches and scones were so filling we asked to bring the cakes home. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for making Mother's Day so special. Will be visiting again x

First visit here today, absolutely lovely & the cakes are to die for! Staff are so friendly & welcoming, was really impressed with the value for money & over all overly atmosphere. Had a fantastic afternoon tea yesterday at this beautiful venue. Great food, excellent service and was like taking a step back in time. Everything served on/in delicate china crockery and the home-made scones were first class. Well worth a visit. Their cheese and potato pie and jacket potatoes are things we want to try on our next visit.
Our daughters arranged for surprise delivery of afternoon tea for our 40th wedding anniversary during lockdown. Despite being on a Sunday, The Vintage Tea Room served up a wonderful selection of sandwiches, cakes and scones with delicious cream and jam. Even tea bags were included! Thank you for helping us celebrate this special occasion.
Genuinely "vintage" ambience, Kath Kitson table runners, fabric bunting, lace, china crockery. Lovely welcome from the staff, and lovely sandwich and cake served really quickly.
The staff took the time to complete a family afternoon tea, packing up left over cakes and seeing them off with a cheery wave, and then the owner spent time chatting with other customers.
Visited the cafe whilst visiting my sister due to the good reviews on Google maps and, despite having run out of scones for my cream tea (!), the food and surroundings deserve the rating.
Thoroughly recommended!

Stunning proper Victorian style teashop. All home made cakes and the best tea and coffee in the area. Highly recommended. Their cream teas are superb. And their prices are very modest.
