Christmas carvery today and want to praise “George” and the chef (sorry didn’t get your name) for the level of attention given to my grandson who has a peanut allergy. Nothing was too much trouble, the chef came out and discussed every single dish, including dessert. Daughter was a bit overcome, saying it was the first place she could say to the child that he could have whatever he wanted, no restrictions. Again thank you so much.

Winter Gourmet night was fantastic! Presentation of foods and wines was of the usual high standard expected on these nights. The service by the staff was slick and nothing was too much bother. Compliments must go to the Chef for his imaginative and varied menu and the way the food was presented. An extremely enjoyable night with good food, good wine and excellent company. Thank you.

We Booked for an afternoon tea and two days before, sprang on the poor kitchen that 3 of the guests were vegan: The response was nothing short of spectacular- the vegan options were amazing, better than anything we have had elsewhere and really inspiring. Teamed with lovely friendly attentive service this really deserves the 5 stars in fact I'd award 6 if it was an option - very happy

Thursday steak night was disappointing in that they were a bit tough and dry. The place lacked atmosphere but it was a Thursday in January and not many people there. On the plus side the staff were excellent.

Love the Sunday carvery! Fantastic choice of starters , hot & cold, main meal with choice of 4 roast meats & huge choice of desserts! Your Chef does a great job! Brilliant for kids to as they have a kids buffet with chips, sausages chicken gougons etc! Highly recommend it!

I got married here on the 4th May and I honestly can't thank all the staff enough for such an amazing day! So relaxed and really went out of their way to accommodate everyone... such a beautiful hotel would definitely recommend! Big shout out to Alison and Gareth who really looked after us in the early hours haha!

Always enjoyed eating there ..but very disappointed last Sunday with the food ....staff are lovely and service was great but food not the usual standard...my husband loves a fillet steak but his well done steak was a bit too well done...never had this experience before

The food at the Templeton is beautiful, the staff are friendly, had such lovely meal with my daughter and husband. We go here all the time for family meals and the service is aways perfect, we had our wedding reception here 11 years ago and we had our daughters communion dinner at the Templeton it is always so lovely.

As an old customer who are were regulars in the bistro, the bar and raffles restaurant I was so disappointed when I called in yesterday. The service was fine but Raffles was closed so we had to go to the bistro. The BBQ???? Sauce on the ribs was so sharp with a citrus flavour that my daughter was unable to finish hers and her country styled chips just oozed grease. When she went to the till to pay our bills and was asked " did you enjoy your meal,?" She replied "well, no I didn't" .the young man on the desk just blushed and charged her full price without taking the remark any further. Ok. She paid the bill. I wouldn't have. And I won't be back. Such a shame. I have had many happy times in the place before this. Maybe it was a one off but it wasn't busy so there was no excuse! Sorry folks but from 5 stars you've sunk dreadfully in my opinion.

We got married here 4 years ago. The staff were amazing and the food was fabulous! We looked at so many hotels but this one was the best for what we wanted and very family orientated!

Food was tasteless had to add a lot of seasoning from what was provided on the table. Ordered pavlova for dessert but ended up being meringue nest which I do not like. Coffee luke warm, I drink mine black so hate to think what it would be like for someone who takes it white. The telephone was behind us and kept ringing, so annoying. The only saving grace was the nice helpful staff on duty at the time. Will definitely not be back.

My wife and I just got married here on Saturday. On the lead up and on the day, they could not do enough for us. I can't recommend them enough. We had the greatest day of our lives and they helped make it possible.
