Tenterden Fish Bar

Visited for the first time in many years around a month ago and had a slight issue with my order. I brought this issue to the attention of (who I presume to be) the owner. He kindly offered to replace the part of my order which I had the issue with. As I am not particularly local, today when passing I decided to pop in and receive my replacement. I ordered extra to feed the rest of my family. I can honestly say, I haven’t had fish and chips like that in a very long time. Exactly how I like my chips; a bit crispy on the outside and light, fluffy goodness on the inside. Perfectly paired with a lovely piece of cod. Savaloy was cooked as I should expect. I shall probably be making special trips to go to this fish and chip shop when choosing to have a fish and chip take out in the future (instead of just visiting when passing). Thanks so much for such amazing customer service and dealing with my issue in such a friendly and polite manor. I was greeted with a smile and left feeling appreciated as customer. Will look forward to visiting again soon.

Popped in for lunch following an outing, decided to eat in as it was a little chilly and blowy outside, got a wonderful greeting from the lady behind the servery and was directed to one of the booths opposite and was requested to have a look at the menus, and she would be over to see us very shortly. We settled on cod and chips with mushy peas and a cuppa tea. I went large with my fish, but almost struggled to finish it!! Next time will order 1 large and and 2 medium chips between us. Food was excellent I think the best in Tenterden!! We will be back when we are next in the area.

Stopped here for lunch on the way through to Ashford and its honestly the nicest fish and chips I've ever had the chips where beautifully cooked and the batter on the cod was crispy and light highly recommend and the staff were friendly. The prices were so reasonable aswell despite the cost of fish going up. Portion sizes for medium were more than enough glad I didn't order a large I don't think I couldn't have eaten it all.
