Good food and staff but lacking in atmosphere, just that little bit more, and it's a winner

Lovely historic pub with great atmosphere, very nice selection of excellent real ales in tip top condition; on the night I went in, they were serving 'mulled wine' which was also very nice too. Very friendly staff and landlord (with good sense of humour) and a 'real fire', not forgetting the pub dog.... excellent!!

Visited this place as part of a pub tour around Tewkesbury, and I must say, the Berkeley Arms is probably my favourite out of all those visited. It has a very chilled out aesthetic, not very loud, and very pleasant décor. Drinks served are great, and the staff are friendly. The pub is also very traditional, and feels very medieval-esque and I think is one of the best examples of Tewkesbury/English culture.

Lovely traditional pub. Landlord was very kind and friendly. Went out of his way to help us get fed! He gave our dog treats and made us feel very welcome. Great mulled wine!

Lovely charming traditional pub filled with character and with a good atmosphere. Decent selection of real ales and drinks, welcoming hosts & friendly staff, and an attractive frontage the owners have created to this historic building. Real open fire adds to the cosy atmosphere, highly recommended to visit for that traditional British pub experience.

A nicely decorated, friendly pub. A good choice of drinks, especially real ales. The lady behind the bar was pleasant and quick to wipe down tables etc. after customers had left.

A beautiful traditional pub. Friendly hosts who clearly take pride in the place. Well kept ales and a warming real fire. Anyone who likes great beer, in a proper pub will love The Berkeley Arms.
