***Update*** 23/02/2024 - The service from Conor was really good considering it seemed quite busy, especially on the food side of things. All our culinary and drink specifications were met and exactly what we asked for, which mirrors my previous visit; so I cannot fault The Warrener or their staff. Our main courses arrived quickly and my Chicken Tikka Masala was very tasty indeed. No complaints from my entire party regarding the food. My only minor critisism is that the table menu did not say anything whatsoever regarding the offer being ‘two meals for £11.99’ on main courses until 6pm Monday to Friday. If my mother-in-law hadn’t of searched online on the off-chance and found this out, we would have ended up paying a substantial amount more; and this needs to be rectified I feel. Thank you for your service and myself and my family will once again return :)
Date of visit: 21/10/2023 - The service from Ewelina was excellent.. above and beyond in my opinion. My Hotdog was extremely tasty and the Peri Peri dip was fiery (hot) to say the least. All very reasonably priced and my wife and I will definitely return now that we have our loyalty card, which was upsold to us very professionally at the end of our meal by Ewelina - Thank you !

Visited for a veggie roast. Menu didn't include what the vegan roast consists off (it wasn't much) and the waitress insured us the will put more on the plate of other things such as potatoes.
Reasonably priced
Free parking
WiFi
Clean toilets
Kid friendly

Cozy place with rustic setting. The food is quite good - and there's decent variation in the menu. The service is excellent - servers and bartenders are bubbly and smiling, engaging and sometimes quite the life of the party.
Bonus points for Caitlin, who aside from generally brightening the place also went above and beyond on my birthday. Especially impressed by the card written in Danish!
Warmly recommend The Warrener, whether it's for a beer, a meal or just for a cozy time.

The food was nicely presented, slow to receive our orders the taste was of good standard. The waitress was helpful but seemed like there was only 1 person of the floor, had to wait for her attention to order more drinks. Had to order more drinks just in case you thought there another wait for her attention. There was some technical issues as, the discounts where not fully applied, so luckily for us noticed before paying.
It was all rectified in the end.

Stopped her to get a quick bite on the way home from a day out.
The service was good. Prompt to seat us, take orders and serve. Very polite and friendly.
The food was OK. My Smothered dish contained a small 4oz steak which was a little bit gristly, which was a bit unfortunate as it was only a 4oz piece. The chicken tenders weren't really smothered in cheese. Overall OK for the food, but nothing to rave about.
Plenty of free parking around the back, but that was expected considering the size of the Premier Inn connected.

We were a party of 10. All food came together and hot. Good choice of food. Staff were friendly. We were asked if there were any allergies, on arrival and before we ordered which is good. A very nice experience.

I was brought here on my last night after staying in the area fur a few days. Nice to catch up with friends. We had a warm welcome, the staff were attentive and a fabulous winter menu.
A really nice ambience, lovely decor and historic photographs on display. Very prompt service, good food and fabulous hot deserts, the vegan ice cream is worth trying out!

The Warrener restaurant is amazing! It’s a must for breakfast, lunch and dinner! We have done all and we absolutely love it! Sarah the manager is amazing! Lovely lady who couldn’t do enough for us! Wonderful team. Never once had a bad experience in over the 200 visits we have done in 3 years ! Ps… Sarah you deserve a pay rise!!!

Very good place. We went off peak hours just after days opening, so had fast service and food delivery. Some chairs do seem to be falling apart so may need replacing. The food is cooked well and tasty, no complaints. The BBQ sauce on some foods is too overpowering and does need to be toned down.

Booked for a late Sunday dinner.
Menu had Christmas options.
Was extremely busy, service could have been better, and waited 30 minutes for order to be taken.
Staff seemed very busy. However, I watched them wipe down the same empty table 5 times whilst we waited for food.
Food was good quality and value.
It's worth a visit, but perhaps at a less busy time of year.
Ample parking and disabled access.

On arrival we were shown to a table nice and quickly. Our food and drinks order was taken promptly by a cheerful waitress. The food was well presented and tasty.

This place gas certainly gone downhill. Visited 18 Nov with friends and won’t be hurrying back. Service was average but food was poor. Chicken gouging starter was luke warm & dry as was my scampi main. Ordered Cadbury Sunday for dessert and the chocolate tasted cheap, it was over priced for the size of the portion and contents. None of our group were impressed with their options either. Never again!!!

I have just visited the Warrener family restaurant in Thetford this afternoon with my family of 6.
All I can say is we will never be returning and I will be writing a letter of complaint to head office.
I have posted a picture of my meal that cost me £11.50.
This is how it was presented to me, I had 14 chips, a boil in the bag ribs and a tough piece of dry cremated chicken.
After complaining to the manager his response was "the portion size is controlled by head office, we can't do anything about it" seriously lacked any kind of customer service skills.
If it wasn't for the fact all 3 children were already eating, we would of left.

Terrible meal last night.
It's supposed to be a premium establishment to eat in and in the past has been good.
I had the rib eye steak not cooked rare but more medium, a few manky chips that tasted reheated and a few soggy mushrooms, there was no salad or presentation at all and tasted very bland.
One person on our table ordered a prawn starter for himself and his son and they got about 8 tiny battered prawns and a small dip each and the cost was £6,95 he laughed and told them to take them back, his son then ordered a burger from the manager and when we had all finished our food his burger still had not come, the manger forgot about it.
Terrible service, long long waits and not worth the wait.
I'd not eaten all day so just ate it and thought I'd put my thoughts here.
WON'T BE GOING BACK

Dear Glenn, You are officially dumped. This is because I have fallen in love with the lobster double stack steak burger that is served at the Warrener. All the best. Chloe 😛😀.

Busy chain pub attached to Premier Inn in Thetford. Nice, friendly staff, serving all the usual Whitbread brand beers & lagers plus some nice local ales (Ghost Ship) - but a rather uninspired menu, all the usual suspects for a Prem Inn restaurant plus the “Festive Menu”..
Still dinner was tasty, well prepared and served with a smile.
Well done chef & staff!!

We went for a 17th birthday and food was inedible service was disgusting ... half the starters where missing ... took over an hour and a half for any food to come out was completely inedible... we ended up in MacDonald's as we still hadn't eaten... I will not be returning

Great service, really looked after. Sarah was our waitress, she always looks after us well. Great food too - quick and hot. Not keen on the dessert choice though, it's been better.....

Service wasn’t good. Had to go to the bar for a drink. Steak was burnt on one side and they even turned it over so I wouldn’t see. First mouthful was charcoal. Other than that everything else was ok.
Karen Mackender
Barman forgot to take his Happy pills, couldn't careless if he served us or not, food was disappointing. The waitress was helpful only good thing about the place.
