Love this pub!! Fantastic atmosphere and the staff are very welcoming and friendly...Definitely rate it 5*...oh and the food is the best in Theydon and surrounding areas

Lovely friendly place with a great garden to eat in. The food is everything you should expect of pub dining, but is the best!. Burgers looked fabulous, but I had to have the liver and onions which were perfect!
Extra mention for the garden which is bright and colourful with plenty of seating.

It's a lovely pub to have a meal and a drink after a great day walking in Epping Forest. They food was lovely and very tasty. They staff are very nice and polite. Highly recommended.
We sat in the garden. Food was v good. Excellent baked potato (properly done and crispy skin) with prawns. Very pleasant and helpful staff.
A very large group of us dined for the first time today. The staff were friendly and efficient. Food had no complaints from any of us and portions were generous.

Warm welcome, lovely home cooked food, well worth the price. The staff are very friendly and helpful especially Danielle who appears to be the life and soul of the place and makes everyone feel welcome and valued; remembered my name after one visit and manages to have banter with everyone alongside achiving a very professional and friendly/efficient service. The food is the best around, I can't fault it. Please try this lovely pub if you haven't already, you won't be sorry. Well done Sally, you've done a wonderful job.

2 had homemade chicken pie which was fab. My friend had crab salad which had a whole crab in shell and I had bbq pork loin chop which really tender and tasty. Great staff. Can't wait for our next visit.
Another fabulous meal with friends last night despite being really busy with a 60th birthday party the customer service was still first class great food as always definitely our go to place for good food hearty portions

Nice place in a nice area, friendly staff, food was good, burger bun was a smidge over toasted but didn't ruin any of it
