Theydon Fish And Chips

2 family members and I go to visit other family in, Theydon Bois from the south coast, 1-2 weekends a month (sometimes more, sometimes less). But, we never miss an opportunity to pop into this chip shop on a Saturday afternoon (even the family members who say "oh I’m not hungry, I’ll just have quarter/half with someone" - Will CLEAN their plates!) Part of our order will always include; a large chips (huge! Easily share between 4-5 ladies), battered cod, cod roe, sausage in batter, and then maybe something else to try, such as; a saveloy, curry spring roll, Donna meat and chips a pie, pickled onions or gherkins. Have ordered from here many times and never, ever had a bad meal, chips are always chunky, fresh and delicious, the batter on the fish, sausages & roe is always light, crunchy and just the right thickness. Just as important is, the staff who serve us, always do so with a genuine smile and friendliness- Whether it’s face to face or over the phone. I’ve worked in customer service for over 20years, so I really pay attention to these things, the staff just come across a caring, attentive and kind. Definitely a 5 star rating from me
