Called for Sunday roast dinner today where we received a warm welcome in this clean and tidy establishment.
The roast pork and beef were very tender and flavoursome, roast potatoes amazing, a good variety of vegetables, cauliflower cheese delicious, couldn't fault anything.

I have been here a few times with family I find its the perfect place to go on a Sunday since they have good vegetarian options. If you call them 24hours before your booking they can make lactose free cauliflower cheese. Our waiter was called Steven who was friendly and super helpful even wrote down

I had prawn rose Marie ciabatta with chips and salad. It's was devine. We all enjoyed it thoroughly. Will be visiting again very soon 😀
Stopped by for dinner and I had the 10oz sirloin steak. It was cooked to perfection and the service excellent. They also have plenty of vegetarian options. The pub has a cosy atmosphere and good character. There was no car park on site but there is off-street parking.
This was a 5* pub with a 5* meal. However, one thing really got me when we received the bill...
The pub is a nice local, pleasant inside and the beer (northern and using a sparkler) was great - copper dragon brewery.

What a wonderful meal myself and my partner had. We both got the build your own burger and it was amazing. Staff were absolutely brilliant too! Definitely the best pub in the area!
Family lunch - excellent food & service. Staff noticed gifts brought for wife's birthday & brought a birthday dessert! Well picked up!
The service was a bit slow as I didn't necessarily have time, but was very friendly.
The food was great, especially the orange brownie.
But the cappuccino really amazed me. The presentation was awesome, and it was very good.
Overall I didn't expect pub food to be that great. A really good surprise.
So refreshing to find a pub in North Yorkshire that does vegan food so well! You can tell there is a lot of thought and effort that has gone into planning the recipes and preparing them. Best place to come if you are vegetarian or vegan so many different options to choose from, shows a pub who is changing with time. But if you are a meat lover, you are also spoiled for choice. 🙂
