Black Lion - Thirsk - Photo album

We went here for lunch one day and tea the next. Pizzas are excellent. Friendly service and our dog was welcome too
Nice food, plenty of selection and decent sized car park around the back...once we found it!
Friendly staff, tasty food.
Excellent meal, authentic Italian food cooked by an Italian Definitely to be recommended Friendly Yorkshire pub , will be back
Visited on Sunday especially to watch the live band. I was not disappointed. "So What" were one of the best I've seen in a while. The sound quality was excellent, the skill of the musicans was top notch and the atmosphere was great. Everyone seemed to be having a lot of fun. I hope they do many more
Nice atmosphere and surroundings, friendly and helpful staff, great food and prices.
Staying in Thirsk, popped in for a pint in the afternoon and decided to go for tea. It was absolutely superb. We had Lobster Ravioli and Sesame seed chicken to start, Chicken Supreme for main course with Panacotta and Apple Crumble for pudding. All were fantastic. Not just the grub but the staff wer
Visited on Tuesday for a five thirty meal with my husband and two friends for the first time Very welcoming, friendly, comfortable relaxed atmosphere. Excellent varied food menu, with unusual combinations. All delighted with our choices. Delicious and well presented food. Will look forward to rev
Food and beer is great here. Eaten here a few times. Back tables a little too close to door for smoking area and people tend to shout through the door! There is a side snug dining area which is away from the throng of the bar. Lively atmosphere
I really enjoyed. Great menu in my opinion that surprised me with number of options. Very friendly staff. Surprisingly quite for a Saturday evening. Wife's veggie dish was a little disappointing though. A little more choice for vegetarians would be nice.
We attended for a family get together to celebrate my father in law's 70th birthday. The staff were very friendly, accommodating and even catered for gluten intolerance. The food was reasonably priced, beautifully presented and did not disappoint. The Wagu burger was delicious! They even helped with
A fantastic place where to have a great meal. The pub offers genuine Italian food and a selection of British cuisine. I suggest the Risotto which is fantastic. The staff is extremely friendly and makes you feel really welcome. Absolutely a must stop if you are in this area! The pub is also very dog
Great food selection. Not your usual run of the mill menu but thought has gone into it as well as craft because they certainly know how to cook an as a bonus really dog friendly
Best steak pie, chips, gravy & peas...not to mention the excellent service. Worth the 5,000-mile flight from Colorado.
Fantastic meal 😋 staff very friendly and welcoming. Meals are large but so tasty. Highly recommended
Lovely pub, we received a warm welcome, excellent service and delicious food. Nothing was too much trouble and great value for money and dog friendly. Forget wetherspoons support local you won't be disappointed highly recommend
Okay but ran out of decent lager on a race day before the races even started, fosters and carling are a waste of time and make u pee more. Toilets were not clean and stunk.
The recently re-opened and under new ownership Black Lion is well worth a visit. Four of us called for a weekday lunch, we had two classic burgers, one chicken burger and a home made beef lasagne. The food was delicious, beautifully cooked and nicely presented. The portions are generous, service is
We called in lunch time and sadly not busy. The landlord was very friendly, attentive and professional. We had lamb shank and a couple of pints - all very tasty and good value too. Thank you.
