Absolutely gorgeous homemade Sunday lunch and plenty of it. The pub is clean warm and very welcoming. They have a pub dog called Shaun who is so cool. I’ve never met a well behaved dog. He’ll come and say hello if you say hello to him. He doesn’t beg or hang around your table. I really wish this was my local pub. It’s well worth the drive believe me!! They have a well stocked bar and the wine is beautiful. Highly recommend!

Exceptional welcome and very well decorated. Really accomodating and a good atmosphere. Food excellent. Piping hot, well balanced and good portions. Will certainly visit again! Thanks to all.

What an amazing time we had here...a real gem! Shaun, Rob, Dean and Rachel were so welcoming and couldnt do enough for us. The food was delicious and the people within our group with food allergies had a great menu choice. The rooms were beautiful and absolutely spotless with really comfortable beds. Thank you so much to the team for making our family wedding weekend even more special...we laughed from start to finish!

I visited this hidden gem recently and I was immediately made to feel very welcome by the manger, his very friendly four legged friend and 2 members of staff. I ordered a steak pie which came out of the kitchen fresh and hotter than the sun! It was absolutely delicious. My only regret about this place is that it isn't on a more local path to me because I can honestly say I would be a regular. You have no idea how much I needed a friendly face and someone just to chat to me that day. I can't thank you enough for an experience that helped me get through a very very bad time. Thankyou.

Fab 2 night stay at this warm and friendly inn situated in the heart of the lovely village of Thornton Curtis! From the moment we arrived, all 11 of us were made to feel welcome by Shaun, Dean, Rob and Rachel - the hospitality, food, and accommodations are outstanding. We look forward to revisiting this little gem in the very near future.

A very comfortable, friendly and accommodating place to stay providing well-kept beers, quality wines and good food. I highly recommend the home-made fish pie.

My friend and I came here for a meal and a catch up. I hadn't been in years. Such a lovely atmosphere. Love the "proper old style pub" feel, the fire and Shaun the dog. Food was lovely, great service, really appreciated being able to have a proper cup of coffee after the meal. Our waitress was great. Highly recommend this place

We recently moved into the village and have had numerous visits to the pub taking family and friends along!! We absolutely love the food and atmosphere! The owners are so welcoming and friendly! Five ⭐️

Excellent staff everyone was lovely stayed 3 nights whilst working nearby. Food was superb 👌. Rooms great slept like a log would stay again if working anywhere nearby all the best Shaun Rob Dean and all the staff. Thankyou

From walking in to leaving Very friendly, great customer service. We were a group of 7, food choice of home cooking and mixture of fish, meat and vegetarian. One of our party had dietary requirements which was not a problem. Beer and wine list excellent. Last but not least service at the table by the waitresses was really good. Thanks to all great night, well recommended 👌

2 night stay. The room was clean and well equipped. Staff were extra friendly and welcoming. I didn't get a chance to try the food but the menu looked very good with plenty of variety. The hotel is located in a very picturesque area. The grounds very well kept. Highly recommend stopping at least for food if not staying overnight. Thank you for making me feel very welcome! Very helpful with my sons, one of which was waiting to get married across the road in the church. We have used this pub in the past and wish the new owners good luck with their venture. We look forward to eating and drinking there soon.

I celebrated my birthday there . The meal was delicious and good quality food . Great welcome with the owners Dean and Rob. Good service with the staff making sure we was okay and got drinks. it was lovely being accompanied by shaun the pub dog too . Highly recommended 👌 👍:)
