Balderson's Welcome Cafe - Thornton-Le-Dale - Photo album

Baldersons operate a row of shops on Thorton le dale including a bakery, coffee shop, gift shop and ice cream parlour. The business has been here years and I always stop off while visiting Yorkshire. My wife and I stopped off for a drink and sat in the patio area at the rear of the shop. You now ha
Went in for a full English breakfast and wasn't disappointed. Service was excellent and friendly. Clean and tidy with loads of seating. Will come here again when in the area.
Very nice scones. Plenty of seating but not very wheelchair friendly. And the exit is through a gift shop which is unusual.
What a gem! A lovely locally run cafe. We had lunch there on a busy Sunday, but we were shown to a table quickly and the food arrived promptly. Lovely sandwiches and nice crispy chips. Great Coffee, too! You should pay this place a visit. Lovely adjoining gift shop, as a bonus on the way out.
Always a delight to visit with lots of interesting items and good value snacks, adjoining shop full of great retail items.
Lovely bakery with friendly and welcoming staff. Delicious selection of breads, pastries and cakes. Window display is beautifully laid out and always tempts you in. Everything is nicely presented and clean, with prices well displayed. Wish I lived closer!
We were on a day trip on the 29th August and decided to have some thing to eat at this restaurant and really pleased we did ,the coronation chicken was delicious, the best I've had ! Lovely little outside seating area too!
Brilliant food and good price. My partner and I had sandwiches each and a bowl of chips to share and a pot of tea. The sandwiches were fantastic. I had egg which was homemade filling not the mass produced type and my partner had beef which he said was to die for. You got a pot of tea and a water
Lovely sandwiches and friendly helpful staff. The ingredients used are great quality too, which isn't reflected as much as you'd expect with prices. With most things being good value. One of my favourite local places to go when passing by.

Can't understand why people are queuing outside 'Lavenders' across the road while there are empty table both inside and out here. Food is well cooked, plentiful and very reasonably priced. I found my cream scone very filling. I'm not sure about the exit, which is not very well signposted and means y
Really great food! I had some of the best home cooked food I’ve had in a long time just now from here and the staff are great too! I had my breakfast this morning here and can definitely recommend trying it! Also their home baked foods are deeeeelicious!
Having heard such good things I was looking forward to lunch here. Having to pay for water (no tap water allowed) was a bugbear. The sandwiches were dry and the crusts curling up as if they had been made hours before. Very disappointed.
We had a nice meal and a hot drink, staff were very friendly, spotlessly clean and a lovely bun shop next door (spent a small fortune buying different cakes/buns to take home and for my son.
Went to the bakery bought a huge picnic. 2 of the 4 sausage rolls Went into the bin. The cakes were awesome. We had 2 cut the rocky into 3 pieces.
