A lovely little chippy in Thornton-Le-Dale that we always pop to when stopping in the area. There was quite a wait for food as there was only one staff member working when we visited, but he was very apologetic and very friendly despite the obvious pressure. The fish bites and chips were lovely and very reasonably priced.

Lovely little fish and chips shop with some nice specials. I have the fish tacos with spicy mayo and pickled cabbage. A great way to eat fish.

Every year we come to the east coast on holiday and people have always rated fish and chips from whitby. I can honestly say the fish tacos and fish and chips we have just eaten from Thornton Dale Fisheries beat anything from Whitby or anything in the area hands down. Everything cooked to order. It may be a little wait but the quality and taste of food is exceptional. I can not recommend the Thornton Dale Fisheries enough. If you are in the area and love your fish and chips, you have to eat here. You won't be disappointed.

What a lovely takeaway. We are a family of 6 (4 adults, 2 children) the food was cooked fresh when we ordered it. The young man serving was extremely polite and the man cooking was nice too. There were other customers waiting whilst our food was being cooked and he regularly communicated with them to apologise for the wait. The food was delicious, and we had six empty plates!! We will definitely be visiting again and would highly recommend.

Nice chips, but you need to park in the village centre not on the main road outside as the road is busy and you end up backing up the traffic.

For a village chippy and you want fish 🐟 and chips 🍟 you can't go wrong they were excellent 👌. Also it has info about the village to read while you wait 😉.
