Stayed for 1 night to do the new Thurso parkrun, which started a stones throw from the hotel which was more luck than judgement on my behalf. Had a room out the back which was great with all the facilities and a fantastic walk in shower � which was fine after being out running. Had a meal in the evening, just had fish and chips but the portions were huge, wasn’t expecting two fish on my plate!! The the staff were very friendly and efficient. Will recommend to any parkrunners.
Just had a Superb meal the Park Hotel to celebrate our Anniversary. It honestly was the best meal we've ever had, the starter was delicious, Piri Piri chicken strips, then I had fillet beef medallions on a haggis cake - the sauce was to die for!! Hubby had chicken which was beautiful. The meal was piping hot and the service excellent. What a treat!
Our meal was absolutely lovely the potions were massive and no complaints at all. Service was first class. Only suggestion would be to not put plastic tomato sauce bottles with price on it on the tables apart from that small point a fantastic experience.
Ate at the Park Hotel with family last night after the Halkirk Highland Games. My 9 year old son loved the macaroni cheese, Mum had chicken curry with rice and chips and my Dad had the Orkney Salmon with potatoes and veg. I had the Medalions of Monkfish with sauté potatoes and mustard dressing. Lovely crisp chips and fresh vegetable sides as well which make it much easier to have a healthier choice than many hotel restaurants. Great service from bar staff and waiters - fantastic food even when the restaurant was very busy.
Very nice helpful staff. Lovely food. So far everything I've had is homemade (except maybe the bread roll with yesterday's soup but I can forgive that) and very tasty
