Took family for Christmas dinner and it was amazing! The goats cheese starter was to die for, and the prawn cocktails my Gad and Gran had went down very well. Dad and I had beef Wellington and Gran had the turkey dinner, the Wellington was astounding, all handmade with a delicious pate between the pastry and the melt in the mouth beef, and gran was enamoured with the turkey and the fact it was moist and so tasty as a lot of places it can be dry. All the veg was succulent and al dente, cooked to perfection! We were all podged by dessert but the cheese board and creme brulees couldn't be missed. The waitress kindly asked if we'd like the cheese left over boxed up to take home. The staff were attentive but not hovering, food was speedy but we never felt rushed. In all this was a wonderful Christmas experience, I've eaten here before and will again, love this place!
Lovely meal and was served by a couple of young ladies Cassie and Maya who was on work experience.. great service had a lovely meal and a great time. Would recommend this place for a meal. Lovely pub and lovely service.
We were travelling north and stopped at a caravan and motorhome club site about 3/4 mile from the Royal Oak Tibshelf.
The Royal Oak has had a very obvious refurbishment and we received a very lovely welcome from the new owner. Good menu with plenty of choice, service was great and food plentiful. I had the sea bass tonight and it was really good, cooked to perfection. Red wine (I know it should be white!) was excellent. Nothing to fault about meal and service and would definitely come back to this pub/restaurant. Footpath all the way to and from the campsite!
This place is newly opened. Fully refurbished and an enthusiastic patron. Very welcoming and great at creating a good atmosphere and events. I want to go back.
It is early days and probably teething problems but the night we went we waited a long time for the food, and not so busy. There were about 20 of us and most meals were good but some were not e.g. the pasta options.
I'm posting a review because I want this place to be the success it deserves. Food and service are the heart of a place.

Great pub! Friendly staff and welcoming environment. They also have an area to play pool, table football... and pinball!!
Reasonable prices too.
Can't vouch for how busy it may get, as was early afternoon midweek.
Awesome place, always made to feel welcome by the staff and majority of customers too, go try a pint im sure you will like it, also check for the street food nights, you'll love it
Friendly staff, great table service,nice decor and awesome food i had 3 courses and everyone was fantastic as well as the girlfriends which i had to taste! Great to find a fairly local gluten free place to eat
