I’ve visited the Bull several times during long walks around the beautiful countryside and never been disappointed. Knowing I was organising a car treasure hunt in the area, I scheduled the finish at the Bull and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food, gardens, location and ambiance. I’d recommend it to anyone.

Went there last Sunday (25th feb) 12 of us for my 40th. Such a lovely place and friendly staff. Food was amazing and greatly priced. Family had travelled down from Norfolk just for a day for a surprise visit and loved the venue. THANKYOU for making a great precious few hours. Will def be returning.

What’s not to love about this pub? Old English quaint, warm, welcoming. Huge log fire, beams, good food.... it’s the pub you yearn for nowadays

Stopped half way with our very muddy German shepherd yesterday afternoon. We sat outside but the pub had a lovely warm glow and an open fire smell when I went in to order drinks and lunch. Staff were very busy but very helpful and friendly. We had two very tasty burgers cooked medium which was perfect. The burgers were thick homemade beef mince (and nothing but beef mince) style burgers. Chip were thin and crispy and hot which was nice as it was a little chilly outside. I really enjoyed our pit stop here and I would definitely like to go back soon. We did the walk anti clockwise so we only had 4 miles to walk back to Bewl water car park from here. happy customers!

Great choice items on the Sunday menu. Usual + a selection of Roast meats and pudding. A reasonable selection of ales and wines the ale i chose was excellent, apparently the pub is tied to the brewery. Fine day and outdoor seating was also available Luckily we had booked as it was busy.

Lovely pub in a great location. Really enjoyed our time in the large garden in the glorious sunshine. Staff were excellent and very helpful. Tasty beer at very reasonable prices. Wanted to give a 5 star but food is poor. Ordered beef roast and it was so tough like chewing gum. Replaced for another dish but that wasn't great either. Definitely return for drinks and hopefully food improves.

Visited for a late lunch, very accommodating staff and happy for our dogs to visit as well (we unfortunately didn't get round to trying the doggy ice cream). Food was ordered and brought quickly well prepared and very tasty, happy to swop the fries with my burger for salad. Would recommend.

Stopped here for lunch after renting cycles at Bewl Water and going around the lake. It’s perfectly located at the middle of the ride which will take you 45-1h15 depending on your speed. We booked but there is plenty of space, especially if the weather is good. The interior is very cute and nicely decorated. Staff are friendly and helpful. I had a nice vegan enchilada with some chips. Everything was perfect, looking forward to coming again!

Came here for a Saturday dinner and wow! The staff couldn’t have been more friendly, the location is wonderful and the pub itself a historical gem. And that’s before you get to the food. A rainy day with a local ale sat next to the lovely roaring fire is about as good as it gets. I couldn’t recommend this place more highly

The only thing that let's it down, the food is only above average. Everything else is excellent, the staff are amazing, the building is fantastic, the outdoor seating is more than adequate. Great job guys.

Fab pub, lovely building with great atmosphere. The food was excellent and not over priced. We will definitely visit again. Only downside seems to be limited amount of parking.

Really good country pub, nice food, nice atmosphere, There was only one disappointing thing, they only serve UHT milk, we did ask for standard milk they did not have any , and said they only keep UHT. ☹️. so for my partner who likes a cup of coffee after a meal and for myself I like a cup of tea that was disappointing.

So middle of nowhere, busy....what more does that say....great food, great service and comparatively cheaper that others in the area but same quality food. There is no b&b unfortunately because after the meal there is a lovely fireplace to park your cheese and close your eyes 😄 brilliant find
