The Chequers Inn - Ticknall - Photo album

What a wonderful place for me to enjoy my very 1st pint during my very 1st visit to England!! If you're looking for an AUTHENTIC pub in the UK with all the trimmings (good beer, spirits, atmosphere, and most importantly good people!) then this is the place you must see. I was sad to leave to come b
I am not sure I can be objective in this case. I have a long and Chequers history starting from 1999 when I moved to Ticknall and Philip Heath, his piano, and the old crooners gathered on Saturdays to sing. It was magic. It's all a part of the history of the Chequers, and it's still a great pub. Wal
Great friendly pub with welcoming staff and publicans. Only popped in for a quick drink, but will return in the future whilst recommending to family and friends.
We called in here on our way back from nearby Calke Abbey in search of food and drink. Although they didn't serve hot food the owner 'Tony' engaged with us in the yard and was very friendly ensuring us that they could serve us up a nice Ploughmans and a chicken salad or a sandwich etc. We had a co

Such a lovely pub and one of my personal favourites. The landlord is great and the beer is top quality. Love popping in here before I got and watch the football on a Saturday.
Great pub. Never fails to make me smile when we visit. Tony keeps a tight ship and the beer is always served in good condition. Definitely recommend

The landlord and staff were very friendly and welcoming every time and they were very dog friendly a

Great local. Really friendly. Super atmosphere.
Very nice and cosy place. On Sunday they offered free finger food for all clients in the pub - that's definitely something the pub should be reckoned for!
An absolute gem. Been going in here for a few years when passing or walking the dog locally. Never had a bad pint. Always a friendly welcome and a warm environment. Nice rolls for sale. Large beer garden out the back. Went on the 12th when pubs re-opened. Social distancing was brilliant with great s
