Exactly as previous reviews, cod was moist with crispy batter, chunky chips and proper mushy peas. Just the right portion size. Atmosphere was jolly and reasonably priced. I couldn't have asked for more on my maiden visit. I would highly recommend a visit.
We were in the area for a weeks holiday 7-14 July 2023. Went there twice. Great friendly banter, enjoyable experience going there. Generous portion size, food excellent quality, cod big thick delicious flakes. From other reviews should have tried the curry sauce as well. Would go there again if in the area.
We travel from south Yorkshire to this chip shop. They cook to order & it can be a bit of wait & nearly always a queue but, tastiest chips, fish, sausage & sides. Reasonably priced especially in the current climate. Highly recommend

A traditional Fish n Chip shop that also frys Mars bars (on additional posted signs). Lovely ladies serving their customers.
We rocked up with an order of 8 fish n chips and they were made fresh, fast and it was reasonably priced.
Can't wait to come back.
An absolute gem of a throwback to the fish and chip shops of the sixties and seventies, complete with the white plastic surfaces, many notices advertising various fried treats and amusing banter between the owners. Without a doubt, the food was top notch. The cod, the chips, the scampi, the onion rings, the mushy peas and the curry sauce were bloody brilliant. My only sadness is whether such places have any more life in them. It must be hard work for little gain these days, competing with the dirty grills offering below par fare. Elliott's was well worth the drive and Tideswell such a lovely village.
I stopped after going to Chatsworth House, The menu was typical, and the food was good quality. It was very busy, but they didn't close at 9, worked until all the customers were served. Definitely recommend.

Very nice chippy first time I have tried it. I have drove past a few times but decided to try the chips this time.
I have to say the chips are amazing the gravy and the peas are very nice as well would fully recommend this little gem.
Excellent F &C shop . No frills , just straight forward efficient service, with good freshly cooked fish and chips.
Wish our one in South Cerney , Gloustershire was as good as this one.

Fantastic fish and chips was cooked as you waited so hadn't been laying around in the cabinets, the fryer and the lady on the till are like a comedy act, prices were so much cheaper than down South.
