Star Inn - Tideswell - Photo album

Loved this place! Stopped 2 nights on the trot as right next to our digs. Ideal. Fitted us in on a Wednesday even though real busy. Place like this you want it to be cosy, welcoming, decent food and decent value. Ticks all the boxes, Menu not extensive but was really well done. Several vegetarian op
We went into The Star Inn to have a meal but hadn't booked, it was busy but they managed to fit us in. The landlord and all the staff were really friendly and welcoming. We ordered our food and it arrived very quickly and was great! Very well cooked and really tasty. Good value as well!! It just so
Food was excellent! We went 3 times recently. I enjoyed the vegetable curry with chips and chocolate fudge cake. My dad has enjoyed the Cumberland sausage, chicken leek and ham pie, and steak and Stilton pie. He also enjoyed the chocolate pudding, creme brulee, and fruit crumble.
Stayed in the area 7-14 July 2023. Ate at The Star 3 times in the week. Couldn't fault it. Warm, friendly atmosphere, excellent service, even accommodated us when arrived just after kitchen should have closed. We tried 3 of the pies, chicken, ham and leek, the beef & stilton and minced beef. All de
What a cracking pub, the food was delicious, I had the pork belly & black pudding (best I've had), my wife had chicken ham & leek pie, again fantastic! Just been invited to the pub quiz, no chance of winning but participation is everything! Make sure you book though as it gets very busy!
Johnny and staff are friendly and engaging. Clearly a village favorite. Can get busy but atmosphere and food make it well worth the visit!
We went to book earlier in the day and when we came back the owner remembered our name. First tick✔️ We had the Minted lamb pie and the Salmon. Both delicious, cooked to perfection and piping hot. Lovely friendly atmosphere and Daisy the dog is beautiful albeit very fickle once she had a little snac
We ate here a couple of times during our stay in Tideswell and really enjoyed the atmosphere and food, and the pub quiz night was good fun. Definitely recommend the homemade pies. It's popular so book if you want to be sure of a table.
I like to eat healthy and often pub food can be a challenge and quality may not always be great. This wasn't the experience I had today. My sea bass and prawns were cooked to perfection and so tasty without the garlic and chilli sauce. The vegetables were lovely and hot and not overcooked. A great e
Lovely welcome from landlord Johnny and his team! Food is amazing. Visited for Pie night and wasn't disappointed. Great quality home made food and would highly recommend it! Good value for money and great service 👏 Dog friendly too.
