Pleasant family-run little cafe and take-away; no outdoor seating, but well ventilated and with seating upstairs as well as down. Focus on home-made and local products. I had a very nice white chocolate slice yesterday, and came back today for a pleasant bacon and egg bap.
On entering we met both husband and wife proprietors. Reception was somewhat abrupt! So we opted to eat upstairs... However, the breakfast was excellent obviously with well resourced local produce and Chef/Proprietor even allowed us to substitute a couple of items - Thanks. Chef himself was chatt
Busy little pit stop in the heart of Tideswell, stopped for a snack after a walk , cakes were large and lovely , coffee lacking slightly (Vanilla Latte either forgot to put the Vanilla in or just not enough) wouldn't put us off returning. All the staff friendly and efficient.
Lovely little cafe, came for breakfast and had the granola, yoghurt and berries which was delicious. The cakes all looked incredible and homemade and service was friendly and welcoming. Having a sweet breakfast option eg. Pancakes or waffles might make it better but the breakfast menu had a good spr
My wife and I ate at The Roost on Saturday 23rd. The service was good, the food excellent, and it was comfortable. There was a delay with our drinks of which we were not concerned. But The Roost insisted they give us free of charge two of their wonderful scones. A highly recommended establishment in
Great local cakes and sausage rolls. We ate in and then brought some home as well. Nice to find a cafe that doesn't just do standard muffins etc these days
Popped in for a breakfast cob and coffee. Wasn't disappointed, food was excellent along with the friendly service. There is a little cake counter on your way out would highly recommend trying them .
A cosy cafe within a bakery shop. There is extra seating upstairs. A specials board and menu with a range of breakfasts, lunches and snacks. The dining area was beautifully decorated for Christmas and the food was freshly prepared and very good. Very friendly and fast service. Thoroughly recommend.
Picked up a couple of tasty treats before a walk at the weekend - can honestly say the best fruit scone I've had in years. Sausage roll was great too. Nice and friendly, will definitely go back when I'm in the area.
Food was good and our dog received a warm welcome. Catered for gluten free by changing the toast… although a bit of a battle as had to re explain to 2 different members of staff when they brought out normal toast and not what was requested. Smoothie we ordered was lovely.
We had a lovely breakfast here. Service was friendly and quick. I had a full breakfast which was delicious and included an oatcake which I really enjoyed. We also ordered sausage and bacon sandwiches and a 'choose yourself ' breakfast for our youngest son which was a mixture of items. We're sure to
Always a good stop off either for a meal or a snack. All local produce used, pies, savoury products, cakes etc and a good place to pick up some Peak Dairy cheese, butter and milk, all produced at the village dairy. Staff are always helpful and obliging.
Great English breakfast. Good quality bacon and sausage. Never had an oatcake pancake so that was a nice surprise. Prompt friendly service and we would definitely recommend this small but busy cafe.
Enjoyed a meal at this friendly cafe. My friend had the full English breakfast and said it was one of the best she’s had in a long time.Crisp bacon just has she likes it and I had a vegetarian breakfast which was good too. We ate there twice during our stay in Tideswell and met different staff who w
