A group of us visited here for lunch. We were welcomed and seated as soon as we arrived. The staff were lovely and food was great and reasonably priced too.Our food arrived and the plates were full. We were pleasantly surprised on how generous they were with the portions. The three men in our group were like excited little boys when they saw the size of their burgers! Would definitely recommend.
We went here for Sunday Lunch having booked the previous day (essential). Had tried to book at the King Arthur's Arms across the road only to be told they don't serve Sunday Roasts in the Summer, they don't have the call for them. Tell that to the Crossbow patrons! Every table was full and they had to turn many away. The food was excellent, plentiful and reasonably priced. Very friendly and helpful staff who went the extra mile to make sure you were happy. This will be my go to place when next in Tintagel.
Stayed in Tintagel for a week and visited this place on our last night as closes early on the other days. We booked that day and were given a table straight away. We ordered drinks and main meals. I had the 12oz steak and my partner had the fish pie, both meals were lovely. Staff were friendly. Just wish this place was open other evenings as we would definitely have eaten there a few times throughout the week.
Had a lovely experience here. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Dogs can sit outside but not inside. Our meals were nice. Extremely tasty coleslaw!
Just a great little jem in a very nice touristy town! The food was very sensible priced, fresh and served promptly! We arrived just a little after 13:00 and it was not too busy. There are 2 car parks nearby and the pub is easily accessible for wheelchair users.
After visiting the amazing Tintagel Castle we were quite a bit hungry.
This restaurant was still open for lunch and had some tables outside. Our English Bulldog was welcome as well.
Ordered a Jacket Potatoe with Quinoa Curry and Crab Cakes with fries. Some water and Coke with that - had a long drive ahead of me.
Both meals came with fresh and crunchy salad on the side. The quinoa curry was very nice, never had quinoa curry before. Went well with the potatoes.
The crab cakes were a pleasant suprise. Hot, crispy and with nice seafood flavour. Tender and creamy inside.
Staff was very friendly, prices very fair. Good location on the main road (but still quiet). A very good lunch in a wonderful town.
We tried the classic burger and crab cake bites, both were awesome and tasted authentic (not reheated store bought). Felt like they came fresh hot from the cooking table.
The staffs were pleasant and friendly. The restaurant and toilets were neat and clean.
Sunday lunch absolutely delicious. Great variety of veg, meat well cooked and tender. Great portion size. Staff very friendly. Highly recommend for Sunday lunch. Will definitely be back, next time we're in Tintagel.
Another amazing meal here today as always. Meat cooked to perfection, 8 delicious veg served in dishes - even my mum stopped moaning for a moment while she enjoyed it ;) Always lovely, hard-working staff. The testament is - all the locals eat here. X
I was coming from Castle and I decided to check this little restaurant . I ordered eggs , backon , sausages and coffee . The service was excellent and quick . Also the breakfast was absolutely amazing ! Very nicely made egg . Also, bread was fresh and backon and sausages perfect . Price was good as well , not expensive . The restaurant has little.garden outside you can use and also nicely decorated inside . Toilets were very clean . I cannot give less than deserved 5 stars! . Thank you !
One of the best fry up breakfasts I’ve eaten! Everything was cooked fresh and to perfection.
Will definitely be coming back on our next holiday!
We are used to top quality meats from a butchers (cant stomach Tesco or ASDA rubbish) , we also know the art of great customer service and care. We experienced top quality breakfast and meat plus top quality customer service here. Its very rare and so we have favoritised this gem in google maps. :0)
Quite tasty, and very generous portions. Would have preferred to be able to order chips as a side portion rather than part of the meal as there was too much which was a waste. Prices reasonable. Service good.
A nice enough meal with quick service and pleasant staff. I had the ribs which came with onion rings, chips and 'slaw, the meat was nice and tender but the sauce could had a bit more flavour!
My wife had the 'taste of the sea' which came fish cakes, butterfly prawns, salad and lots and lots of chips. It should of had a few more prawns and less chips! My daughter had the beef lasagne which she said was ok but not as nice as the one we make at home!
The interior is a bit of a mishmash of old and new, with sawn wooden pallets stuck on the walls, and in my opinion far too many ceiling spot lights (23 in total) which made the ambience a bit harsh and more like a dentist's, rather than a welcoming cosy restaurant.
Although the meal was pleasant, if we are visiting Tintagel again whilst on holiday, I'd probably try out one of the other many restaurants available in the high street.
Food was excellent ,service was fast and lovely staff .would recommend to everyone hope to come back soon
Excellent and very friendly. Service was very good and the food first class particularly as two of us are veggies and we called in for lunch choosing a large baked potato with generous chilie topping absolutely delicious, as was our friend's cream tea.
Lovely food, welcoming staff, good portion sizes.
Friendly staff, good food ,very clean toilets, highly recommended
