The Anchor Inn - Tintern - Photo album

Very busy and therefore slow on a Sunday with a very nice looking roast offering plus their usual menu. Nice spot. If you paid £5 to park all day in the nearby car park they will refund it against purchases on presentation of your parking stub.
Found this place by chance. What a great pub food was outstanding lasagna was perfect and not swimming in oil. My husband had the steak pie which was homemade and he said the flavours were delicious. Next time we are in the area we will definitely be back.
Amazing food I loved the gammon steak with chips fried egg pineapple and tomato it was delicious would definetely go again!! I also found it very efficient and my food came fairly quickly and was freshly prepared and well presented. On the whole it was a great atmosphere and experience and I would p
Had a delightful caesar salad here with the loaded fries, but wished I'd looked at the specials board. It was around £22/person. The parking was free after 7pm and there was a great view of the Abbey ruins
As a group we only stopped for a drink after visiting the Abby. Very impressed with the place and the contrast between the old stone walled oak beamed bar and the large light airy dining area. Well decorated meals looked amazing
Lovely place. The staff are pleasant and friendly. Food was amazing, I had the hunters chicken and the wife had a ploughman's. Good portion sizes too. Will definitely be back, the Abbey was in darkness tonight when we left and was hoping to see it lit up.
Such a lovely pub, the food was great which went well with a great selection of drinks. Menu caters for everyone and there are no bad options. Managed to squeeze desert in too which was also delicious! Can redeem the five pounds you have to spend on parking here too which is very useful. Lovely staf
The Anchor Inn in Tintern blends history, scenic beauty, and a sensational local ale, Tewdric's Tipple, into a captivating experience. Its location, nestled among an old abbey and forests, is mesmerising. The ale? Simply the best. Don't miss this gem on your Tintern visit.
We were a host of 12 people. The food was brilliant. The service was nice and the drinks were refreshing. Definitely recommend trying the blood orange cider!
Nice pit stop after a walk around Tintern. Pub refunds £5 parking charge if you’ve used the public car park. Dog friendly.
Great place to stop for lunch before a visit to the Abbey or walk along the river. Lovely old building with plenty of seating inside and out, and two good sized car parks adjacent. Don't forget to take cash for the machines which the pub will reimburse. Interesting menu with lots of local ingredient
Can't fault anything. Food was top class and affordable. Drinks (cider) was great. Service and staff were polite and professional. Totally recommend a visit if you're in this area.
A very large pub in an excellent location, very close to Tintern Abbey. We enjoyed a meal and a couple of drinks there, it was busy but there was plenty of room, great staff, and reasonable prices for everything. I had a couple of pints of Wye Valley brewery Buty Bach, very nice 🍻
Good pub, excellent food and good range of beers and drinks. Plenty of space inside, large outdoor space, children's play area and decent loos. Parking on site (cash only) refunded on purchase of something in the pub or at the Abbey. We had lunch here and I would recommend.
Great place to have a meal!!! Right next to the abbey. We had lunch there on a Sunday and it can get pretty crowded. Luckily we did find a table for two in the end. Food was absolutely amazing for reasonable prices. Overall such a great experience.
