The Wheatsheaf is set in a small quaint village and is thriving little pub with character and charm. I was given the opportunity to eat here and so glad I did. The menu and 'specials' are both varied and I could not fault my food or the service. It may be a little expensive but you most definitely get what you pay for compared to other pubs. Worth every penny.

Firstly the staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. The dining room was immaculate and the food was brilliant. Excellent value for money and very large portions. Would certainly recommend and will definitely visit again.

I just have to say, this evening I think I had one of the best meals ever in a pub!! The roast beef was lovely and pudding was amazing! Compliments to the chef and the staff, can't believe we've never been before, will definitely be coming back!!

Moules Mariniere - excellent. Followed by roast beef and yorkshire pud - excellent. Only complaint really was the absence of green vegetables. Good old country pub that's stepped up a level, staff on the ball and friendly. Booking essential for Sunday lunch. Oh yes, and they serve ice cold Guinness and have a comprehensive wine list. First class.

Following a long walk along the Meon river and Titchfield Conservation Area we headed directly for the Wheatsheaf as we heard so many good things about this pub. We weren't disappointed as we were immediately made to feel very welcome by local customers and the landlord. Strongly recommend the bar food, in particular the excellent burger and the fish and chips. The pub promotes local real ales and I will definitively visit again.

We visited here yesterday and had the most fantastic meal. Restaurant quality food also the dining area was not overly crowded. Also Avery nice touch was linen napkins on the tables. The staff were excellent too. We will definitely be back and will also tell all of our friends how exceptional it was too.

Fabulous meal on Christmas Eve, our compliments to the Chef for the beautiful food he produced and to darling Rosie for being her usual self, the food here won't be beaten anywhere in the local area. We don't need an excuse to eat here, we've always had first class food, even when we just pop in for a pub lunch. Those chunky chips shouldn't be allowed!!

I was recommended this restaurant by a friend. I went there on Sat 25th February with 12 friends. We all had a fantastic time. All agreed that the food and service was superb. Would definitely recommend this pub restaurant.

Unbelievable food quality and service. I am fussy but this was the best roast and dessert we've had on South coast in the 13 years we have lived here!

Lovely lunch although our booking hadn't been logged. Staff very nice, drink prices a bit steep, £15.35 for a large wine and a pint of beer. But still an excellent meal.

Have not been able to visit for a year, but standards still the same. Food, wine, service and value all excellent and in great surroundings. Standard menu supplemented by a Chef's daily board. Haven't seen or eaten Brill for forty years, wasn't disappointed. Will visit again.

I have eaten here many times over the last few years with my partner. Great food one of the best pubs I have eaten and I have eaten in a lot! Very friendly team with great sense of humor. I love the small tapas plates great for a bit of English Mediterranean and even Thai food. Must mention the steaks again very good quality indeed. Again the Sunday roasts are first class to get anything on a par you would need to go the Hawks more in London. If you are in the area make you you give it a try you wont regret it.

An impromptu meal out with a friend, having always had a good reputation with family members being chefs thought we’d try it ! The service was super friendly, professional & knowledgeable, the waitress knew her menu! The food was top notch, it tasted like it had been cooked by a fab chef, presentation was great! Thank you

Enjoyed the meal. Several dishes were unavailable. The waitress was overloaded but coped pretty well.

I'd like to give 4.5 stars and the only reason I'd knock off half a star is because the full dining room became a bit noisy as there aren't any soft furnishings to absorb sound. Nevertheless, we had a delicious Sunday roast there - the roast potatoes and parsnips were wonderfully seasoned and cooked, and Yorkshire puddings came with all meats (which I was pleased about as I had roast chicken!). We then had scrummy pud's to follow, despite being full already! The standard of food was really exceptional. The landlord gave us a warm welcome and all the staff were friendly and gave great service. We'd definitely go back.

Very limited lunch time menu, and I struggled with the choices. Eventually went with the vegetarian option and it was excellent.
