Really delicious, and lives up to the hype! The eggplant dip and the grilled pitas are so simple but were perfect way to kick off the meal. I wasn’t expecting to be particularly phased by the Spanakopita but it was actually my favourite thing we tried - the honey with the savoury filling and the flakiness of the dough was amazing. The sea bass and the potatoes were also really good.

Food was okay service was not bad but felt rushed out. Overall I would visit again but not sure if it’s worth the money. I would definitely come back for the unique cocktails, dips, and atmosphere but beyond that I’m not sure if I was sold on the other appetizers or mains yet. I would definitely encourage anyone to give this place a try!

Staff was super friendly, the vibe inside was great, and the food was very tasty. I especially loved the dip with the steaming hot pitas. It was very filling, 3-4 items should be more than enough for 2 people to share. Would come back for sure!

Pita was so fresh! Lamb chops are a must - very juicy! Chicken delicious as well! Overall very happy! Very happy with the food and service! Also got the salad, would skip and go for another side or starter next time.

Incredible food and service, definitely one of the top restaurants in Toronto for me! We got four dishes (as per our server's recommendation), the food was incredibly filling and delicious. Highly recommended.

Busy place downtown with a good menu and wonderful service. The food was good but nothing stood out as great. All properly seasoned and cooked- each of them was just missing something though to really make them pop We were at the bar and the seating was very tight. You were elbow to elbow with strangers which is an odd feeling coming out of the pandemic.

Wonderful service and very tasty food! We ordered the spanikopita for $18 and grilled Lamb $54 and both were cooked and seasoned to perfection. We also got the carrot side dish $12 to complement the lamb. Absolutely delicious and we were very full by the end. I did feel that this is on the pricy side, but the ambience and service were spot on and it’s worth a nice night out. I will be thinking about the spanikopita for a while... 🤤 If you go earlier in the evening, the restaurant will be less busy and has a better feel if you don’t like crowds.

Dined @ Mamakas on July 4th, 2022. The overall experience was exceptional. Pictured below is what we ordered. People are encouraged to order for the table (family style ) versus individual portions. The grilled lamb chops with a side of fries was heavenly. Perfect combination. The lamb chops come with a Tzaziki spread in the pan and the fries come with a very mild feta spread. Incredible. The eggplant dip was not your standard dip. They’ve added some of their own spices which elevated this typical staple. This spinach pie is also uniquely Mamakas. They drizzle a bit of honey on this and top with a few crushed pistachios. Once again, small details that make the ordinary extra ordinary. The shrimp saganaki was another great dish that added some variety to our dinner. Even the pita breads are unique. Served warm, incredibly fresh and tasty. The vibe of this place is best described as fresh and modern Mediterranean. No Mykonos blue or cheesy pictures of the Parthenon. A great dining experience overall, reasonably priced for what you get, located in a very funky part of downtown Toronto. Well worth a trip. I will soon return.
