In Cockington, there is a lovely old Tea Shoppe, called “Weaver’s Cottage”. The building was renovated in the last few years but it still looks quaint. In this beautiful house, there are a lot of bedrooms, a new kitchen but an old restaurant room. I think that it gives its charm to the house and people are interested by this soothing place. You can come with family or friends and share a High Tea on a cake stand. It is a traditional English meal: sandwiches of ham or cheese or both , with crisps and a scone with clotted cream and jam. Also, you can take a cup of tea with milk. This place is very peaceful and I recommend it to everyone. Emilie, France

The best place to have the most amazing cream or savoury tea. Lovely location in Cockington, cannot recommend enough. Just wish it was calorie free!!!!!

Fantastic little place for tea, coffee, sandwiches, cakes, cream teas and high tea. Service was spot on, food was quick, great quality and delicious. A must stop if you’re visiting Cockington village. Dogs and children welcome, lots of shade and cool on a hot day, a hidden gem.

Dog-friendly, there’s even a menu for the dog! Our dog had the pup cake which I think had cream cheese topping, it did not last long. The cheese scones with butter were suitably cheesy and warm so the butter melted. Good size tasty caramel latte, and my wife had the cream tea with scones, the s ones come with clotted cream and a choice of of their own made jams. Very nice. Seating is all outside in a lovely partially covered garden / courtyard area, the service was top notch even though they were busy. The only downside is it was maybe a little pricey for what we had, but it’s in that sort of chocolate box village tourist-type area where you kind of expect that, and it’s likely what they need to make a living. I’d rather that than they charge too little and don’t make enough for it to be worthwhile continuing. So, five stars.

Love this place. Lovely place in a beautiful area. Been a couple of times now. Staff couldn't be better and the food is superb. Will definitely go back next time we're down there. A must if you're that way.

Located in a stunning village, this beautiful tea garden has an ambience which is unrivalled in Devon. Excellent service with smile, dogs are welcome (they even have a puptisserie menu!), beautiful surroundings. We messaged before hand with few queries and we received a message promptly. We loved our visit, thank you- we will be back.

Wow!!! ,what a wonderful place to visit. Fantastic cream tea, service & staff excellent definitely worth a visit, if I'd gone on the Thursday would have bought half a dozen scones & jar of jam to take home.😁😋😋😋😋

Amazing location that feels like your miles from town in an old village. The Devonshire Tea was exactly what we were looking for. It's a small staff and a popular place, so service was a bit slow, but the owners were very nice. Lovely walk down to the waterfront through the valley as well. The road access is very narrow and larger vehicles would find the drive stressful.

Lovely little tea room, friendly staff and gorgeous cream tea. No indoor tables, but they had big umbrellas and heaters for when it's a bit chilly. Definitely recommend.

Lived local all my life and never been in here, bank holiday weekend and was quiet around cockington , amble up the road being a chilly east breeze and hazy, we popped in here and had a cream tea and carrot cake Choice of plain or fruited scones , and when it came out , it was fresh and best of all warm , smelt divine ,( that good it almost seemed a shame to put cream and jam on it) best scone I have ever had , nice tea , pot held around 2 and a half cups along with a water and the carrot cake was about £12 Money well spent , not overly expensive considering the surroundings, some great looking food coming out , well presented and amount You pay £3-4 for a supermarket sandwich Would recommend anyone going for a walk around cockington especially in the pleasant weather to pop in We certainly will be back
