This place is a really gem in Torbay serving a lot of local produce including local cheeses you can buy from cabinet and take away.
Lots of free parking locally, lots of seating inside with the prettiest little enclosed garden where dogs can visit too.
The food was delicious and my blue cheese burger was the best I have ever. The portions are large and quality ingredients used.
The atmosphere is relaxed with nice back music and local feel. The waitress was very friendly and checked regularly if had everything we needed.
It has a little cinema, lots of evening events and can be hired for private functions.
It's a lovely place to visit and everyone is made very welcome.
A Standout Staple of Devon!
We've been coming to this fantastic café for a couple of years now, and have always enjoyed the food and the friendly staff. My wife always orders their excellent kedgeree, which is one of their best dishes in our opinion, as it's very well balanced with seasonings and ingredients. I've sampled most of their main menu items, all of which are great. Today they had a special burger with a Devon blue-cheese , which I had to try. I have to say this was the highlight for me, as the entire burger was perfectly seasoned and cooked; I believe this was the best restaurant burger I've had in a very long time!
The place is small, but don't let it fool you. The food is outstanding, and their cocktails are awesome. I'm looking forward to enjoying one of their tapas movie nights!
Blue Walnut Cafe is a exceptional place for Breakfast and Brunch . It has a varied menu to fill most needs . The price is reasonable too and the service is outstanding. An absolute must if your stopping nearby.

Just popped in for a coffee, it tasted good and was hot (most important to me). The waitress was very pleasant and when not serving she kept herself busy cleaning and shining things up. Relaxing cosy atmosphere.

Visited this place to mark a sad passing but the place was fantastic. Cafe, mini cinema and outside garden. Food was excellent. Lovely cakes.
A hidden Gem. On Walnut Road behind Torquay station opposite the Co-op. This CIC cafe serves amazing food. Licensed bar, evening entertainment such as open mic night and the smallest cinema in Devon! Also bookable for birthday parties and private events. Check out the Facebook page for more info.
