Cappello Ristorante

Our first time to Cappello this evening and it definately didn't disappoint! What a beautiful Italian gem! Myself and my husband are big Italian food lovers and have had some lovely trips to Italy, and the food here tonight did not let us down! You can tell by the menu and the presentation that the owners are passionate about what they offer and oh my gosh, what amazing food it is! The flavours and variety on the menu was really fantastic as well as the specials and the cheesy garlic bread and homemade gelato are must haves! The service was brilliant and staff were so friendly and down to earth! Unfortunately we aren't local but are already planning our next trip! Thank you so much! X

We ate here twice during our stay in Torquay, the first time I booked before we left home based on other reviews. The food is delicious, reasonably priced and plentiful but it is the welcome and the friendliness of everyone involved that makes this a place not to miss. The atmosphere is like being in Italy and you feel like part of a family. Based on this experience we booked for another evening and managed to get a table for the Feast Night. Excellent live music, lovely (fixed menu), again reasonably priced food, but best of all we were welcomed in again by staff and locals alike. The only reason we won't go to every one of these evenings is that we live 300 miles away. Highly recommended. Do not miss Cappello if you get the chance to go.

We were running out of options as our son wanted an Italian and, having left it a bit too late, on a Saturday night mid-June, everything was booked up. This restaurant got back in touch very quickly and we're very happy to welcome our well-behaved Greyhound too. We absolutely loved the food, the wine, the very friendly service and the sweet little touch of a small plate of dog biscuits and a water bowl that was awaiting our dog! Would definitely go back if we're ever in this area again! Can't recommend them enough.

Quite possibly the finest Italian restaurant in the south west. Been to many over the years this has been the best we have ever been to by far. Staff lovely, food reasonably priced and great atmosphere. Will definitely be coming back you can bet on it! We came back as our first visit was amazing! Gnocchi starter, tagliatelle with beef main and tiramisu dessert. Wonderful. Excellent service with a smile again. Highly recommended!

Went for a birthday meal with my girlfriend.. on Wednesday 20th of Nov. Was greeted by a lovely young lady who was very polite and friendly. The restaurant was very clean and cosy.. The waitress looked after us throughout our whole meal... we had starters and mains which were apsalootly delicious and were generous in size . Considering the standard it was extremely well priced.. Over all i cannot fault anything and would highly recommended and will definitely be returning...
