Nothing bad to say me and my wife are hear for some time away, just so happend to come across this place as we are a lover of eating out and trying different foods ect ect.
From start to finish the staff made us feel really welcome so friendly very polite very well mannered
Food was amazing the way it was served was like being abroad and not in the UK.
For the hot towel at the end and little chocolate just shows how much they really appreciate you for choosing there lovly restaurant

Food was excellent, lovely ambience in the restaurant but staff were very friendly and made the difference. Nothing was too much trouble for them and my 8 year daughter said it's your best restaurant she has ever been too. Would definitely dine here again.

Being blessed enough to be well travelled, we know our food. We also new before we went to Maha Bharat in Torquay that it would be “Indian” food cooked by Bengalis for the British palate and we were absolutely fine with that.
When we went in we were greet by the lovely Hafsa and as our evening went on we noticed how much she wanted her customers to be happy and she was very attentive - Hafsa has only been with the restaurant for two weeks but she is confident and charming - an asset to the business.
Our food was lovely and well cooked. We had the mixed kebab starter and tandoori chicken. Our mains were a meat thali consisting of chicken korma, lamb bhuna, tandoori chicken, rice, naan and yoghurt. Everything was flavourful,
Service like I said was attentive and very polite. The decor is nice with the feature point being a lovely, massive saltwater fish tank. A few more fish would be a welcome addition.
We had a lovely, blessed evening - it was good for us to know that all the meat was halal - thank you and well done Hafsa and the team!

Didn't book beforehand but we were welcomed to dine by host. Lovely atmosphere and beautiful decor. The food was beautifully cooked. We had the poppadoms and pickles, chicken tikka masala and cheese and garlic naan bread,fully recommend.

Went here for a meal on Monday after reading all the good reviews. We weren't disappointed. They have a lovely huge fish tank in the cantre of the restaurant. We were greated by a polite member of staff, asked where we wanted to sit as it was quiet. Straight away we ordered our drinks and poppadoms. The waiter then told us when we're ready to order let them know. Which I thought was good.
Eventually we ordered our food. When it arrived it looked and smelt lovely. The taste was amazing, the portions were big and the best thing I liked about our meal was they presented the nan bread cut up for you. ( so no mess trying to cut up hot nan). We have been trying to find a nice Indian around the Torquay area and it's safe to say we have found one, at last. Would definitely recommend this place and we will definitely be going back. Thank you for some lovely food.
Honestly can’t believe how great this food was. We stumbled in by chance, but the dishes were perfectly cooked, very fresh, just beautifully flavoured. Waiting staff were lovely too. Top marks.
Excellent customer service and tasty food. They went the extra mile and tried to make a pizza with a naan bread to accommodate my daughter.

Welcomed into the restaurant and staff all were very friendly, starters came promptly and was very tasty. Main dishes were very tasty and generously portioned, thoroughly pleasant evening out.
Have just left after one of the best Indian meals we have ever had outside of India thank you to all the wonderful staff and amazing chef shame we don't live closer but we will be back
Cracking little Indian restaurant I’ve frequented for many years, haven’t been for a while since I moved away from the area. We came here for my birthday. Food was top notch, from the chaat starter to the spicy but tasty Naga Chicken main. Lovely choccy dessert too.
