The Coffee Club

I arrived from local resort at twenty past 8 stood inside for a while then I heard the guy tell the lady infront of us, to come back later. Shame I had the whole family (hungry) website and building said open from 8am? Luckly lots of great cafes nearby but still a bummer I'd promised rainbow pancakes. Won't bother again.

It was really dirty outside food on the ground, dirty tables, staff not really friendly. Food was very average, looked like my mushrooms had been in the bottom of the fridge for covid all dried up. I find this disturbing especially after a pandemic and loads of business closing their doors. Really need to lift your game. And clean your outdoor area.

Good coffee, yes Breakfast fail! Big fail. Refused to give me an order off the menu. Two pieces of sourdough bread and 2 eggs on the side Said I had to order the eggs on toast in the menu. (This was a rule made up by the owner). So for $2 more i got this. I piece of toast cut in half and 2 eggs. Illegal, cheapskate behaviour. Totally pathetic. Owner overseas so couldn't complain directly to him. Notice he hasn't replied to any criticism in any review. Guess he doesn't care.

went to the coffee club in torquay today (3/10/19), ordered a spicy buffalo chicken burger and the chicken was disgusting. lucky for me i cut the burger in half before eating it. the chicken looked like it was a very fatty steak with very little meat. never coming back, will keep you all updated as to whether or not i get food poisoning but for now, i do not recommend!!!!! would rate lower than one star if i could (...google, if you're listening...)

Can't say i was satisfied with my experience at the coffee club. I firstly ordered a Club Sandwich, to which it was cold and the lettuce seemed old and soggy. When ordering the man behind the counter which i assume was a manager, seemed as though he was still learning which i understood as learning does take time, however, he was speaking in a rude and passive aggressive manner to which made not only me, but also his employees feel uncomfortable and on edge. I feel as though this isn't a good atmosphere in which you would like your customers or staff to be in. Having been my first time at the coffee club (torquay), i was saddened by the experience i had, especially seeing the younger staff being made to feel belittled.
