Really lovely pub , from the minute we walked in it was welcoming, friendly and the lady behind the till who served us was really welcoming, we had food here which came out pretty quick and was well cooked.
Definitely recommend this to anyone who likes us like a nice quiet pub to chill.
Would definitely come back here if we ever pass Towcester again

This has to be the most friendly and welcoming pub in the town. I have never been here before but I was greeted with a smile and treated with extremely friendly courtesy. Nothing was too much trouble. I ordered food that was reasonably priced and of excellent quality. Whilst eating, I was asked by two different people if I had everything I needed and was I enjoying the meal. As I was eating, I had finished my drink, I was asked by the landlord if I wanted another, as I went to get up I was told, sit down and I will bring it to you. Fantastic service.

Great evening meal here, staff very friendly. Not sure if one guy was the landlord but he made the meal great fun, with his funny banter and great service. Food was very nice and hot too.

Took our elderly uncle whom is wheelchair bound and in a local residential care home in Towcester for Sunday lunch, the staff at the old Brave Oak were lovely and warm and welcoming and very accommodating. The food was delicious and didn't have to wait long. Will definitely be back thank you

I can't praise this public house enough. First impression, the staff was friendly and very approachable, finding us a table for 2 despite not booking in advance. Second, the toilets were immaculately clean. Finally, the menu looked very reasonable and our choice of Sunday roast was fully justified. Four veg, potatoes, meat and yorkshire pud. Perfect balance and value for money.
