This place is great, it's in an ideal spot tucked up a little side street so it can be both secluded and quiet or busy and bustling. I last visited on a Sunday around mid morning in early January, if you're from Towcester you'll know Sunday is fairly quiet in the town anyway which means it's ideal for this place as they will just take all the business in the area. However after ordering my food with my partner and sitting down to eat it... we heard the male member of staff with the curly hair, complaining to his colleague that it's ridiculous that they should be open on a Sunday, "because nowhere else in Towcester is"; the other member of staff didn't seem too bothered. She appeared to just be putting up with his complaints. He proceeded to call, I'm guessing the owner and told them that there had been no customers here for the last 30 minutes; whilst I was sat there eating my sausage roll and we had arrived to a number of other customers who were just leaving. He asked if they should close up which he was told no and to pop outside to get people in, which he kind of did reluctantly. I don't know if standing outside drinking a bottle of coke and not speaking to passers by counts as encouraging people to come in or not... This definitely put me off buying another hot drink or something to take away with us and I've not been back yet, mostly because I don't want to feel invisible. Essentially, this place is awesome, it's open on a Sunday unlike other stores, so bombard it on a Sunday to ruin this guys day.

Nice food. Wasn't busy but tables needed wiping. It was 14.30 and toilet hadn't been checked since 8! Floor in cafe had food debris all over it and needed a good sweep. Felt it was let down by the lack of attention to these things. Will go back and hope it's better.

Great to find a local place to enjoy lunch while walking our dogs as they are welcome inside the building. Food was reasonable as well but the overall experiance was great.

Lovely building, lovely staff, nice bright open space to sit outside in nice weather. Food is great, not as cheap as some places but well worth the price imo.

AC was welcome. Staff friendly. Marmite pasty nice. Find the packing away over hours before closing a bit off-putting.
