Nice night out
The food was nice and we liked the fact they had a ramadan menu. Although the fruit salad was horrible and tasted of fish. Excellent customer service from Kez - made us feel very welcome and very friendly and helpful. Thank you! :)
I visited Tampopo last Friday night and I must admit that the food is exceptional. I love Laksa soup and chocolate fondant is my favourite dessert. And Nickolas as waiter was very kind and helpful. I really recommend Tampopo.
Just in Manchester for a brief visit but thought we would try this Thai place out. Took a while to get served, but I honestly think this was an oversight as everyone else was catered for quite quickly. Once our order had been taken, the service was excellent and very friendly. Food came to the table freshly cooked and was delicious. Hubbie could not finish his katsu curry udon soup (first time I have seen that on the menu) even though it was extremely
moreish. I would definitely try this restaurant out if you are a fan of Thai street food.
A few weeks ago, I was invited along with two of my Fantastic Four to try out a pescatarian taste tour at Tampopo in the Trafford Centre. Whenever we make a trip to the Trafford Centre (TC), there is always a designated collection of restaurants we tend to frequent. The number one spot, tends to be Las Iguanas, followed by the safe bet of Nando’s. Yang Sing slides comfortably into third and then it’s sort of pot luck with some of the others. I’d only ever visited Tampopo once, it wasn’t a personal choice, it was where our friends happened to be eating so I remember playing it super safe and ordering a pad thai and not much else, distracted more by the good company than the good food.
Wow!! Am quite a nivice to south east asian cusiine but my partner loves a a thai curry. I didnt need to worry, the staff were awesome. They helped me decide on a vietnamese summer roll starter...really fresh and light with tightly packed rolls with mint, corriander and basil with well cooked noodles and veg. I had a Thai beed Massaman xurry for main which was rich in flavours with little heat, fragrant and filling. Reasonably priced, caring staff and fresh food...what more could you ask for ( apart from channing tatum serving me in shorts;-)
The food here is fabulous. I would highly recommend to anyone who has been backpacking around Asia and eaten from the street stalls.... takes me back every time!!!
They do a great lunch time deal a main course from £6.95 and a starter for £2.50. fast, fresh and delightful service from friendly staff! they even acknowledged my 8month old daughter and took her to see the chefs cooking on the woks!!!
Will be coming back when next in Trafford Centre - much better than the other "Branded" places.
One of my favourite places to eat when shopping at the Trafford Centre. Not too many seats in here when we used to go and it always was busy, but if you go at lunch time, you're more likely to find a place to sit. Quick service, good food and large portions. Nasi Goreng, Pad Thai, Khao Phad and Bulgogi were our favourites, but we've liked pretty much all the dishes that we tried!
Had a great lunch here, the Pad Thai was excellent you need the fried egg on top to finish it properly. Make sure you have the Caramel Churros which are hot and crisp. Finish it all off with the Vietnamese Coffee. Very friendly staff and the place was busy so it isn't a secret. Nice place to eat. Recommended.
We came here for lunch on our visit to Manchester and the staff are really friendly and attentive especially Manager Jo she was fantastic, a true example of excellence in customer service. Jo was very knowledgeable about the dishes and brand , she even told us about East Street in London owned by the same brand and we are going to eat there soon. The food was very flavoursome and served at a good temperature, fresh ingredients with tantalising flavour. The Mocktails were delicious very refreshing. We had the vegan menu but I did also notice vegetarian and halal menus. We will definitely definitely visit again with friends. Thank you for a pleasent experience Jo and her team.
The food here is incredible, so much flavour and spice! Very quick service and friendly, also the cocktails are fab, will definitely be back 😀
A lovely restaurant for casual meet up with friends.... Large portion sizes . Price reasonable... Lots of food choices to choose from....
Came here with friends for dinner and we throughly enjoy what we have ordered. 6 of us without a booking but still managed to get a table. They have great a great and varied menu as well as many good vegan options. Plus point for the fact that they really took care of one of my friend’s allergy. Service was nice. I would defo recommend.
Had a very nice experience at Tampopo this evening. The food was delicious, the drinks were of a good quality and they even had little quiz cards to keep us entertained whilst we waited for our food - it was a short wait and even kept us off our phones! A special thanks to Abi and Maisie - they were knowledgable about their products, and we had a nice chat with them; feeling genuinely cared for. Thank you so much!
Ample space and nice decorated.
Interesting idea for bench eating with clean and colourful plates.
The staff is very friendly and helpful in every aspect.
Good selection of cocktails and starters.
The various dishes have nice presentation with above average texture and taste, though on the smaller rather size.
It is not cheap either but it's decent quality for the money paid.
•Laksa (mild), £15.5. Didn't enjoy the mix of meats in this and I definitely shouldn't have made it milder (spicer would've been more flavoursome). Never seen cucumber and chopped onion in a laksa before?
• Pad Thai with chicken, £13.5. 10/10. Classic but perfect.
• Katsu udon soup, £14.5. 9/10. Katsu curry flavours were and coming through!
We did wait a while for our food but I think it's generally because Trafford centre is so ridiculously busy 6. They offer student & blue light discount Mon-Thursday, have a halal menu + London branch!
Twas a Saturday night in the month before fall,
The shopping was done and the hunger didst call,
With a rumble in our stomachs and bags in our hands,
We searched for food, from eastern lands.
We were greeted and seated, where we preferred,
In less than five minutes we were seen, we were heard,
My friend has an ailment, a reaction to fish,
But the nice lady helped us, to choose the right dish,
Careful to ensure that the food did not harm,
Assisted by a waitress with an animal on her arm.
The service was swift and the food was divine,
The attentive, young server made it even more fine,
We asked for the bill, and we went on our way,
Thanking Alex, the waitress, for making our day.
Lovely food, real depth of flavours. Staff are friendly and really accommodating. Very knowledgeable on halal options for one member of the party.
