Situated in the heart of Treorchy's award winning High Steet this is a well established and wonderfully authentic Thai Restaurant which also offers a full take away service. The restaurant has a lovely ambience and is spacious and tastefully furnished and the hosts Choo and Leighton always provide a warm and friendly service and welcome . Although meals must be preordered by telephone this ensures absolute freshness of the ingredients used and Choo prides herself on the freshness and quality of her cooking English style meals can be prepared to order and a children's menu is also available and the restaurant is fully licensed. A full menu is available on the website At the moment the restaurant itself is closed due to the Covid-19 restrictions but a full take away menu is still currently available which must be pre-ordered by telephone and collected and take away meals are all as delicious and superbly fresh When the current Covid -19 restrictions are lifted the restaurant itself is set to reopen The quality and freshness of the food is simply second to none and is undoubtedly some of the most delicious Thai food that we have ever tasted We simply cannot recommend the Thai Sky highly enough One of our very favourite restaurants We love it Jeff & Karen

Superb Thai restaurant in Treorchy. All the food is cooked to order and must be ordered in advance. That means they can easily accommodate different tastes towards spiciness, for example. A true family affair with Mum doing the cooking and Dad and Daughter serving. This restaurant is a little gem in the Rhondda.

We lived in Treorchy for 3 years, always walking past this place and hearing great things, but never actually going in. When visiting recently we decided to finally give it a go. We booked a table for 2 for 7pm and were informed that they had a couple of large groups in at the same time, so there may be a bit of a delay. We didn't mind. The waiter (who I believe is the owner?) chatted to us and asked if we needed recommendations but we knew almost instantly what we were having. My husband went with the sizzling duck and I for the veggie thai green curry. We got a couple of fried rices to go with our dishes - you definitely need one each but they are the perfect amount. We also had a mixed starter between us and 2 massive bottles of Heineken. All in all the prices were very reasonable, the food was tasty and fresh and very filling, and the service was friendly and polite. Despite the big groups the restaurant had an intimate, quiet feel and we didn't actually have to wait long for our food at all. Oh and as a vegetarian, I was really happy to see that pretty much all the dishes had a veggie option! Only 2 small issues: 1, that the menu is quite basic. There's nothing new or particularly exciting to try on repeat visits, just the 'classics'. But because we are in Treorchy and not in a city, and because the classics are done so well, this is not really an issue. And 2, you can't pay by card. We weren't aware of this so my husband had to leave me and run to the cash machine after our meal. Again, this is just a minor complaint to what was a lovely evening.

This place is a little hidden gem, unassuming but impressive at the same time! The food is the best I've tasted and the welcome is on par too. Not sure what to order then just ask Leighton, his knowledge is extensive and you will not be disappointed. His wife Choo has a culinary gift that can't be described until you've tried it and experienced it for yourselves. Genuinely all, try it, you will not be disappointed 👍
