The Swan Restaurant Troon. If you want real value for money the Swan Restaurant in Troon is the place for you. A word of warning though, it's not for the those who only pick at their food.
At the Swan the emphasis is on freshness and quality with portions that even a Jewish mother would consider excessive.
The service is brisk and professional and they really care that you enjoy your meal.
A word of caution, don't just drop in on spec and expect to get a table. Be sensible and book ahead so that you won't be disappointed.
Great little lunch, huge portions, great value and very attentive staff who couldn’t be more helpful. Will definitely return
We popped into this little restaurant for lunch whilst on a day trip to Troon. It does exactly what it sets out to do, good wholesome food at reasonable prices. The elderly clientele (us included) obviously enjoyed being there and were well served by friendly, attentive staff. It may not be haute cuisine but it's very good value for money, nothing fancy but well cooked and enjoyable.
This is a definite find, we visited expecting the previous cafe, this blew our mind the very friendly attentive staff, coupled with the excellent food was amazing. Working out how we can visit again soon. I would highly recommend this cafe/bistro/restaurant, you will not be disappointed.
Went to the Swan today for the first time with my daughter and a friend. The restaurant has recently been renovated and it was clean and welcoming with comfy chairs and spacious tables. Service was slow and it was 45 minutes from when we sat down until we got our food. My friend used to regularly eat at their previous restaurant and said she was surprised. Our food came and the portions were really big. The food was freshly made and really tasty. I couldn't eat all mine but my daughter and friend cleared their plates. They also had a nice selection of home made cakes which were HUGE so I bought a couple home for my family. I will definitely return to the Swan as it was gorgeous food for a great price.
