We met friends for a catch-up meal one evening here. We haven't actually been here for many years (no reason other than we moved away) and found it to be as pleasant a place as before.
The staff were very nice and the place definitely has a local pub feel about it which we like and the choice of drinks was good.
The food was OK - I'll be honest, it wasn't fantastic but wasn't dire either.
I will be honest and mention that I didn't think the toilets were as clean as they could (or should) be which is something that should be addressed in my view.
We'd certainly go there again as, in fairness, I don't think this is a place you can judge on a single visit so watch out for an updated review in the future.
Monday evening after a busy weekend a lot of meals where not available. This was not a problem for our group and from the limited menu on offer we all found something to our taste. The food was excellent and an ample amount. Dog friendly. Will go back soon.
Lunch was very good and value for money. Staff very friendly and attentive.
Only negative is visually when anyone is around food they need to look clean not like they are wearing clothes they’ve been wearing for a week. Personal hygiene not an issue, just grubby clothes makes you feel a little put off when it’s so close to food. A clean apron every day is a good fix. Otherwise really good.

Mothers Day carvery roast. Even at 6 pm, still very busy, and even though staff must have been exhausted, they were still ready to serve with a smile and a laugh. Lovely 2 meat carvery (could chose 3 meats) and yummy cheese cake for pudding. Will return x

Just visited a lovely relaxed family pub, waited a short while but every minute was worth the wait. Food is unreal! Very rare I clear a plate. But absolutely delicious. Lovely presentation, and kids food was at perfect tempature. Good kids portions too. Worth every penny. Thank you very much.

Despite being in the middle of decorating, this caused no problems - and is certainly making a big improvement…. We shall look forward to returning to see the end result!
Lovely pub that's now realising it's potential. The standard menu is pretty basic but good, the Sunday carvery is fantastic. Good range of beers served by friendly staff in a lovely pub, also has live music.
