Old Ale House - Truro - Photo album

I attended the Old Ale House three nights in a row and they had live music every evening, it was good to hear "real music". On one occasion the music was Cornish folk music. I would love to return and listen to the musicians again, it was such a unique sound. There are plenty of real ales on sale a
I avoided coming here for the longest time based on the exterior - but it's probably my favourite pub in Truro. Unlike most pubs it's nice and dark on the inside and has plenty of seating. It has barrels of free monkey nuts which I've never seen anywhere else. The staff were friendly and there was a
Atmospheric with sawdust on the floor, classic rock on the speakers, and a large selection of real and craft beers, all well kept. Great city centre pub.been in previous years and always enjoyed it.
Doesn't do food but welcomes you to bring your own. They have monkey nuts and the usual and very good 🍻
Classic proper pub with an exception- free monkey nuts 🥜 , shells thrown on the floor- spanish style 😉extensive brewery selection, local certainly and not only . Reasonable prices and live gigs regularly. Great location - what else to ask - just get in there
very nice pub and there's free nuts! the selection of ciders were on point, and although I don't drink beer, there seemed like a lot of good options there too. I always get ID'd there which is nice, makes me feel young 🤪 it is also a very queer friendly place so if you are gay, GO!
Great beer , nice size bar and plenty seating with tables , staff are very good , love the monkey nut shells /sawdust on floor gives it that proper old style feel , and it's help yourself to free monkey nuts , just chuck the shells on floor .
Brilliant pub for real ale lovers. Free peanuts and sawdust on the floor. Excellent!! Dog friendly too!
All the ingredients of a perfect traditional pub, amazing ales, great atmosphere bristling with conversation and laughter. Lovely building with very distinctive frontage.
A fantastic friendly laid back pub with a wonderful selection of ale and cider highly recommended
Good selection of cask ale including Bass, reasonably priced. Also, there were Craft ale and cider available, too.
Great selection of real ales, all served by knowledgeable and welcoming staff. This place is likely to suffer from it's own success as space and seating are at a premium...although I'm not sure that there isn't another floor upstairs, but being disabled, this would be out of reach for me. Quite am
A proper old style pub right down to the peanut husks on the floor. Dark wood, amazing beer and cider selection. A mudt for truro visitors.
Lovely to have friendly service, and a rara pint of Bass. Brilliant to find that free monkey nuts available, and drop the shells on the floor! Not seen that since a business visit to Den Hague, followed by a trip to a similar bar.
Well what can I say about this place. If you love your beer then this is the place to go. Great selection of own brewed beers from Skinner's brewery. A great back wall of craft beers as well as ciders. The staff were on another level. Great knowledge of what they served and incredibly friendly. Whe
From bouncers to bar staff this place is amazing. Lots of stuff going on, just check out their website!
