Lovely food, freshly cooked with a creative and diverse menu. Our waitress was friendly and efficient but service was quite slow despite there being few customers when we were there. The tables are quite crammed. It's a difficult balance between creating easy flow for table service, as many covers as possible for the success of the business, and customer comfort.

Working lunch on a Tuesday. It was very quiet. Had the fish pie which was bloomin' lovely. Staff were attentive and polite.

Booked for a large party of 19 last minute and they accommodated us amazingly. Such lovely staff that can’t do enough for you. Sunday roast was one of the best I’ve ever had. Amazing place. Highly recommend

Amazing countryside views! Outside was so peaceful at lunchtime...
Seemed like a nice independent pub- not ran by a chain.
Food was very good- tried one of the 3 pies on the menu (although the chalkboard advertised many many pies for Pie Night which looked impressive but was a different day)
Had a kids menu which was good.
Service was order at the bar, could put on a tab and was quick to go up and pay.
Only improvement could be toilets could do with being a bit cleaner.

Excellent food, my wife & I have dined here 5 times this week & will have our final meals tonight as we will be going home tomorrow. We have had a wide selection of food Steaks, Tapas, Pies, Burgers Gammon to name a few. All of a high standard. The staff are very friendly & it's a lovely local pub. Best to book to avoid disappointment it has been busy all week

Excellent steak night last night. 8oz rump, chips, homemade onion rings, mushrooms, tomato & peas all for just £11. Tasted amazing & a very generous portion. Service was very good too. I can definitely recommend.

Been 3 times a lovely place for a meal although the service was a little bit slow that could have been due to staffing problems certainly couldn't fault the friendliness and the quality of the food which was lovely. Service could really improve if you had some one behind the bar all the time

Good menu and lovely wholesome food. Staff friendly and helpful and accommodated a special need request. We've tried a few in the area and this was head and shoulders the best.
