Wonderful little place. We stopped by this morning, and both breakfast and lunch items were available all day. Had the coronation chicken and it was a hearty portion - bigger than expected, and bigger than most places!
Waitress was incredibly friendly and went out of her way to make us feel welcome.
A little gem in a market town. The food was tasty, hot and very well priced. Lovely cakes too.

A fantastic stop off when travelling along the A1. Avoid the Markham Moor services and go here instead for tasty home cooked food and friendly welcoming service. Amazing fresh homemade food. Good food portions and tasted delicious. We got the backed potato with beans and cheese and it was divine. Such a lovely welcome on our first visit to the Crusty Cob! Really delicious food, great size portion (I couldn’t finish mine!) and a top up of hot water for the loose leaf tea not to mention the complimentary delicious oat cookie! Really clean and really lovely staff. We look forward to eating here
Call in for takeaway when dropping post at postal office, make food order then go to drop parcels, come back all ready. Food tastes nice.

1st time eating here, 2 breakfast cobs for take out, got to say they were fantastic, sausage, egg, thick bacon, hash brown, beans and mushrooms, tasty as owt, the lass taking my order was polite and full of life which you seldom get these days in most cafes/takeaways
