Longsands Fish Kitchen - Tynemouth - Photo album

Wow wow wow! After a 2 hour drive north to visit my daughter, she suggested fish and chips at the beach and Longsands did not disappoint. We has to queue, as the place is clearly popular, but the friendly staff were very efficient, so the wait wasn't too lengthy and in any case completely worth it
we were there in mid-September a Thursday evening. Ordered a Cod&prawn mix +chips, and also the mussels. the portion is big and we loved it. Very delicious. The down side is they are closing quite early. Plan to go again.
One of the best fish and chip shop fish we’ve had! The batter was crispy, light and fish was delicious. We managed to get a seat on their tables outside but we did eat lunch around 3pm, so can imagine it’s a lot busier at peak hours. The curry sauce was huge, but also very nice.
Great fish and chips. Big portions and top quality fresh. Had the cod and chips. I’ld be back every week for more but unfortunately I’m only here on holiday rim Australia
Was looking for some fish ‘n chips and came across this on the high street. Pricey (£7.50 for small is a but steep for cod/chips; £10/regular). Sauce was extra. Drinks from £1.50 was very steep, so didn’t go for those. However! The fish was superb. Crispy batter and succulent. Lots of batter. Chips
Love nothing better than good quality fish and chips at the beach and this place certainly delivered, big chunky fish full of flavour with nice crispy batter and chips that you could eat for days
Stopped by this afternoon from Athens,Greece.. A party of four, first time having fish and chips.. The meal was amazing, fried just right not too oily. Fresh cut chips . Our service was fast and our servers, Nathaniel and Rachel were friendly and made sure we were well taken care of. Thank you for a
We ordered Haddock (with skin, comes with chips), and Small Cod with chips. Also ordered the curry sauce. The service was prompt. Our servers were helpful with our questions. Both fish were excellent. The food was hot and enjoyed. The curry sauce was peppery and tasty.
Absolutely fantastic. First ate here 4 years ago and the standard was excellent. It was really busy at lunchtime and we had 4 cod&chips in around 10 minutes. Served with a smile. The standard is still excellent and even the family were impressed as I dragged them there. Highly recommend it for all f
Whenever we are in Tynemouth, we always take a trip to Longsands Fish and Chips. The quality of the food is excellent, never greasy or soggy. They take great pride in their products and long may they serve the best fish and chips in the area. Awesome!!
best fish and chips around! not cheap - but there's no such thing when eating out. This is a consistently excellent fish and chip shop
Could drink the curry sauce in a jug. The fish and chips are beautiful. Eating them by the priory is just perfection. Good work x
Waited about 10 minutes to be seated. worth the wait. Make their own tartar sauce which tasted great.
Superb fish and chips, lovely light crispy batter. The girl took our order and told us it would be ready in about 10 minutes. I’m happy to wait for freshly cooked fish than it been laid under the warmer getting greasy and the batter getting soggy.
Very good food & chips I like how you get a dip for your fries.Wish the place was a actual sit in restaurant it’s so small inside to line up and order that it’s just disorganizing. & then you have to actually go walk around to find a table from somewhere else which is uncomfortable.
The best place for fish and chips. I cannot recommend this place enough, the fish tastes absolutely fresh and crispy. They even offered to add on some batter crisps .We ordered a takeaway and enjoyed it by the beach. Beautiful view with amazing food.
The best fish and chips ever. Good price and super quick served. Very busy place but that how you know place is good when is busy. Recommended to everyone 👊
Amazing food, so tasty and big portions! A yummy addition was the batter scraps! Also one of us was gluten-free and the staff were great, makes such a difference when a food place caters for gluten free! They were knowledgeable and even provided gluten-free vinegar! Definitely recommend!!
This chippy is busy on a nice day and for a good reason! The food was incredible, some of the best fish and chips I've had in ages (I'm from the south west and lived not far from the coast). The chips were fantastic, the cod was delicious and the batter on the cod was perfectly crispy. The curry sau
