A lot of previous reviews mention takeaway only. When we went the other day there was plenty of indoor and outdoor seating available. The food is excellent and the coffee good. The relaxing views are a tonic.
Oh! The view!!! Down over the pond with all those mature trees around. A sun trap in the mornings. Coffee from machine...more Costa than Starbucks which I much prefer. Homemade cheese scone, or blueberry scones with glistening crunchy sugar topping...top class!! Well worth the walk through Northumbe
Nice coffee,no price list tho. Nicely positioned in the park, great to sit outside with the dogs
Easy access reasonable parking outside park on both sides of park, good views across park lake, children's play area well maintained lovely well kept gardens
Friendly staff, comfortable surroundings and great food. Provision for sitting inside or outside, depending on the weather.
Only takeaway at the moment , lovely drinks and snacks , ice cream and slushies for the kids , toilets next to the cafe , seating nearby .
So glad glasshouse is open albeit 'take-away' only - it was lovely to hear and see everyone young and 'older' back to enjoying the outdoor space 😁
Having visited Northumberland Park for more years than I care to mention, the tearoom is a welcome addition. The park was allowed to run to neglect over the years but now it is back to the beautiful park I remember if not even better. Well done all concerned.
After a walk around the beautiful park , it was lovely to stop for a coffee and a cookie.😋

Nice little cafe set in Northumberland park over looking the lake . Due to covid the cafe is takeaway only seating out side and beside the lake. social distance in place nice walks around the park .car parking just outside you can also walk along the path to Tynemouth metro station for the market
Lovely staff and great food.
This is a delightful place to visit.in Northumberland Park North Shields. So peaceful. Birds,+ducks swimming on the pond. The cafe is open every day 10.30 to 3pm for lovely takeaway drinks+snacks.
Glasshouse Tearoom is a little gem in the middle of beautiful Northumberland Park, where delicious meals, snacks and coffees are served on a daily basis. Always a warm welcome from lovely friendly staff too, and the prices are very reasonable too.. Highly recommended !
This is a very handy tearoom in the middle of Northumberland Park. Canny cuppa and nice homemade tray bakes.
Is ideal for a quick snack would like some more outside seating.
Big queue for toilets only one in operation
Went back again on Monday with the grandsons but the tea room and toilets were closed
