The owner was brilliant can't fault the service. Room was good size and clean. Should have more chairs in the room with coffee table and more electric sockets nearer the bed. Middle of no where so nothing to see or do unless you are willing to drive. Food was excellent
We loved this place! Proper pub. Good pub food done well in front of a fire and great local beers. Comfortable room, lovely shower, enjoyed the window seat with a view. They were very welcoming and chilled and kind to our dog. Perfect full English in the morning. I hope the rest of our holiday is as
Great place, great atmosphere, great people and great food. Will definitely be coming back
Traditional village inn. Room was comfy with a modern bathroom. Breakfast and dinner were tasty and there's a nice atmosphere in the bar. Lovely quiet village setting but not far off the main road.
Tried to dine last night but due to it being bank holiday the pub was full to bursting. Second time lucky tonight, and well worth the wait. Food all beautifully cooked fresh to order, great range and prices very reasonable. Would definitely recommend 💯

Lovely little pub with a nice little selection of beers on tap, friendly service. We stayed a couple of nights and everything exceeded expectations. Comfortable beds, foam mattress not too soft and not too hard, good choice of pillows, and the bathroom was really excellent: clean and modern with a
Had a brilliant stay at this cosy little pub whilst doing the Cumbria Way. Lucy let us use the toilet and put our bag in our room even though they weren't officially open until 5pm on a Friday. Evening meal good, atmosphere in the pub really friendly, room was clean and comfortable with a lovely bed
They owners are extremely friendly and accommodating. The pub itself is extremely comfortably and welcoming. We arrived late at night and were greeted with a warm welcome, after which we had a couple of drinks in the bar. Breakfast was always enjoyable and they catered to our requests. The food
If you going to visit Lake District you must stop by this location. Owner will really appreciate as locals are just about 20 as number. This is 1760 old pub, with exposed beams from an old ship. Very chic rooms with recently updated bathroom's, shower 6*. I did enjoyed my local brewed ales in their
