We were staying a house with a river in the back a short way up the road, so location was terrific. Staff very polite and accommodating. The food... well, presentation was astounding. The good thing, tasted as good as it looked!

My steak was delicious and my husband thoroughly enjoyed his lamb shank. My son ordered the Cumberland sausage, which he polished off with no help. My d
Our stay was excellent. The venue, staff, location, locals and general vibe all contributed to an amazing stay. We were worried with it being covid times but you made us forget the difficult times we are living in and while we were there we enjoyed ourselves so much it felt like pre-covid times. Th
Lovely village pub. Massively dog friendly. Waitress was so friendly and made a fuss of us and our dogs. Food was really fresh and great portion sizes but above all tasty. Great use of seasonal foods. It was a busy night for a Monday and in Covid-19 times meant the staff had a lot to do with run
An amazing find with spectacular local views coupled with good food, drinks and a very warm welcome. Breakfast fantastic after a comfortable sleep in well decorated and comfortable rooms. Highly recommended.
Good pub this. Very friendly staff. Serves good food and has a great selection of drinks as you would expect.
Home made food (none of that cube potato malarkey), served fast and reasonably priced. Quite attentive staff which is not entirely unlike typical for a pub. Local beers and nations favourites on tap.
Absolutely brilliant food! Very friendly staff too! I had the Royal Oak burger which was beautiful and my girlfriend had the Not fish and chips which was equally as good!
weve visited here a few times with our dog and we've always had a warm welcome, also eaten here a few times and the foods always been very good
