We will definitely be visiting again. Easy to park, easy to order and the food was ready within a few minutes.
The chips were cooked well, the sausage was large and the small fish was actually a good portion size.
It's very fresh and new inside. They also sell English lakes ice cream and I will probably purchase some next time it's convenient to do so. I definitely recommend it.
Update: Visited yesterday after new owners had been appointed. Prices have gone up slightly but the food is very high quality. The chips were amazing but the fish was slightly on the small side for me. Very convenient and I will be visiting again.
We had 2 fish and chips, the service was great, everything was cooked to order. The fish was tasty and crispy, good portions. Best fish and chips in Ulverston.
There was a huge queue for food at 1900hrs, but due to the "slick operation" we only waited a very short time. When our food arrived, it was just stunning. Everything was cooked to order, it was piping hot, the batter was superb as were the chips. I would recommend this place, 100%. Thank you all. Just as an afterthought, I think the whole team were all young people. Who says that youngsters don't know how to work hard? These guys & girls certainly do.
Hubby and I had the small fish and chips for £7.50. It also included peas or curry sauce. The fish was beautiful and as one who doesn't normally eat the batter I ate every bit of this, the chips were lovely and just the right amount. Only thing that let it down were the peas. These are so cheap to make but these were very watery, more so than the curry sauce. But I'd still give it top marks as we ate it all
I thought it tasted really good. Ordered fish and large chips. Other reviews said portion sizes were a bit small so went large on chips as it was only 60p more.
The box with fancy dividers makes the quantities look small: if you unload it onto a plate, you suddenly realise how much there is.
Best chippy around! Everything is served in eco trays so if you want to you can take your fish and chips to the beach and enjoy it while you look out over the bay 😊 fish is always cooked to perfection and the gravy is pretty good too. The portions are pretty big!!
Fantastic food at fair prices, friendly staff and lovely seating area outside to enjoy our tea in the sun. 100% recommend to anyone in the area. Amazing chippy!
Very tasty but portions are small, haggis tiny, regular chips almost as small as children's meal, our visit 13th May order No. 173 will try again but needs improvement.
Just had fish and chips absolutely delicious. What a brilliant idea to have a divider between the fish and the chips.
Good food. Good service. Reasonable prices. Plenty of menu options. On-street parking. The picnic tables are nice on a sunny day.
