Zambrero

The lady at the Zambrero kiosk at Garden City mt gravatt always gives me tiny portions to the extent that I pay over $20 on a burrito to get a burrito the size I used to get when I went to the springwood Zambrero’s to get a normal one. Today I went and there was a new guy working there, I take it the lady trained him because he sprinkled the toppings on like it was gold. I literally walked away, I’m not spending $15-$20 on a burrito that is the size of a chiko roll. This not only happens all the time but it’s getting worse, fix your portion sizes!

This Zambrero used to be awesome but has slowly gone more and more downhill. The burritos are now made so small most of the time I wonder if the chikito would be bigger, the rice is often dry and the beans aren't made right anymore. The quality is mostly okay, but prepare for inconsistency and smaller servings that aren't worth the money. There's also only one server that knows what they are doing nowadays, and it's all round disappointing and disheartening for a regular. Garden City definitely doesn't hold a candle to other Zambrero locations, although convenient. I will probably be driving the extra few minutes from now on if only to get a true Zambrero style burrito from much better locations such as Buranda or Mater Hill., and I recommend others do the same.

I don't understand why there are so many bad ratings but this is most definitely my favourite Zambrero joint in the whole of Brisbane. The food is warm, fresh and tastes amazing. The other Zambrero restaurants don't give the same quality of food even though I'm sure they would have the same cooking procedures. I prefer this Zambrero before any other Mexican restaurant. Amazing work, guuuuys 👌

The positives of this zambrero restaurant are few and far between. I had to ask to be served today, as the girl working clearly saw me and hoped I'd go away if I stood around long enough. Eventually I was served, however I wish I'd gone elsewhere for my lunch. The girl working clearly has no idea of serving sizes or she has been trained incorrectly. I received a smear of sour cream, and when I questioned her she said sharply that it was the serving size and I'd be charged for more. I had to ask for more of everything today due to the stinginess. Little did the worker know I work at Zambrero myself and can judge an incorrect portion. Food was fresh however.

I'd heard a lot of great things about zambrero so today I decided to sample it for the first time at the garden city store. I was served by a young man in glasses who was more then happy to help explain the menu and was extremely polite in guiding me through the whole ordering process. All in all the food was outstanding and the experience was even better.
