I work heavily in the travel industry and quite by chance I came upon this place. When first I walked in it was a nice relaxing atmosphere. Decided to look at the menu for something to eat and had the rump steak (Steak or the day). It arrived in a reasonable time I think maybe 15 min. It looked and
Lovely atmosphere and beautiful surrounding landscape with the canal right next to the dining area. Large garden area too! Food was lovely and very good size portions. Women's toilets were nice and clean, although my partner commented on the men's toilet being broken and not properly attached to the

We have been for the last two Sundays. Beautiful setting by the river Stour. Boats sail past plus canoes and paddle boards. There has been live music playing each time we've been and both times that has been really good. Not eaten there but the food smells and looks really good. There are outside ga
Lovely time spent in their garden. Lots of space and tables with umbrellas for shade. Good choice of food for lunch. Had the chicken, pesto and tomato sandwich which came with crisps and salad on lovely brown wholemeal bread, definitely recommend. Also the garlic, cheese skun on flies which were als
We went for dinner, lovely menu, food was good and beautifully presented.
Service on the whole was good, but there was a long wait between courses.
Wonderful selection of food and I had a delicious sandwich which was huge. In fact I shared it with my Mum and it kept us fed till dinner time. We had a light evening meal here, outside in the garden by the riverside. Mine was a Tuna salad.
Although there was a wedding on, our meals were bought out by attentive young staff promptly.
All washed diwn with Whitstabke Bay pale ale, it was an enjoyable evening.
I really enjoyed the food here and the location was superb with nice walking route very close. I can't rate the rooms since I never used one.
Clean, tidy rooms. Excellent food. Lovely location. Both the owners and the staff are friendly, welcoming and give an excellent service.
We went for a river cruise, lovely experience of about one hour. The boat has electric engine so is eco friendly and the captain was a nice chatty man. Recommended
Stopped in for a pint while waiting for the kids paddling down the Story river. Fantastic spot. The host/owner, John, was incredibly friendly, humorous and helpful.
