Had a lovely breakfast in The Twisted Spoon after doing a pub stop in the car park😋

We enjoyed a fabulous Valentine's Afternoon Tea. It was lovely to have slider buns with more interesting fillings rather than the usual finger sandwiches of ham, egg and cheese. The brie and bacon filo parcel was a delicious bonus! The mini desserts were just right and the warm scones with jam and cream were perfect. We will definitely be coming back soon.

Stopped off for lunch by chance on a journey. We both had a baguette and chunky chips (prawn and fish finger) . Food was brilliant and staff were friendly. Plenty of choice, other tables had afternoon teas that looked amazing. Highly Recommended!

My wife and I went for afternoon tea, and we were not disappointed. The drinks were delivered and after a short wait the food arrived. The only thing was no-one came to ask if everything was ok so we didn't get the chance to order more tea.

Lovely light lunch, but had to have the cake and tea, staff fantastic, great service and good prices, well worth a visit, would be even better on a sunny afternoon

Absolutely great spot for tea and cake/coffee and cake. Very cosy, they have a plethora of desserts to choose from and each is a sharing size. My husband and I ordered one each and couldn't finish it! For anyone that loves teas, they have one for every weather and every mood.

Lovely place! Brought my dad for a pre Christmas treat and he loved it. Food, coffee and staff all wonderful. Staff friendly and accommodating, prices reasonable, £25 for large latte, large cafetiere, a sausage, eggs and chips meal(definitely NOT a greasy spoon offering!) and a Spanish hash-choritzo, potato, mushroom, spinach and poached egg. Delicious!

Fantastic afternoon tea for two today - beautifully presented selection of cakes and sweet treats and lovely choice of sandwiches. The warm pieces of quiche were also a lovely addition. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience today and highly recommend The Twisted Spoon. Thankyou to the staff for making this so lovely for us.

I meet friends there regularly but in the Oak,part not the Twisted Spoon. We are always pleased with the service and the food.

Booked a table. It was our first time there and was welcomed with a friendly smile. Even though they were very busy service was excellent. Good selection on menu. The food was very fresh and apertizing. Would definitely Recommend! We will be going back again soon.

Brilliant little place with a massive & very tasty variety on offer. Staff are welcoming, friendly & extremely accommodating to all needs. I can’t say enough about the fabulous breakfast! I’ve travelled 90 miles to stay here & would have done for the breakfast alone. Very satisfied customer 😁

Amazing service really friendly most helpful girls ... the tea room was set up beautifully for my dad and step mums 25th wedding anniversary! The food was amazing! High five to the all the staff! ... most definitely will be going again just for a cuppa! :) if I could give you ten stars I so would! :)

We loved it, the decor of the tea room was brilliant, the staff were very friendly and such a huge choice of tea although I just had normal tea �! Our food was good too. Little things like the teapots amuse me too, ours was an old fashioned type and the table near us had a Mr Happy one. I like these little quirks! Can't believe I didn't know this place was here before.

Just Fabulous. Been for Breakfast a few times now and afternoon tea. Food great, staff great Ambience great!! Well worth a visit.

We have been regulars at The Twisted Spoon and the tea and cakes are awesome. However, today was a huge disappointment. It is perfectly understandable that when they are very busy, one has to wait their turn and be patient but to be completely ignored is nothing short of rude and the staff need a little tuition on customer relations. All it takes is ‘won’t keep you a moment’ or ‘sorry to keep you’ or even ‘I’ll be with you in just a moment’. We ended up walking out when no one came to take our order but what was worse was the lack of care and empathy from the staff. Such a shame for somewhere so unique. They will start to lose regular customers.

Excellent breakfast this morning for 4 people! We had lots of requests that were all accommodated! I was most impressed with the fact that my daughters dairy allergy was catered for so easily! They had dairy free milk and butter which was great if only every eatery was so accommodating for a dairy free diet, will definately be visiting again soon 👍

I have been here for just coffee afternoon tea for a birthday and tapas .It is a brilliant place friendly competent staff excellent service and excellent food .The restaurant next door is just as good too .Well worth a visit

The place is lovely, and the breakfast was one of the best I've ever had. I came with my partner and our little boy and my mum for her birthday. Unfortunately that was on Valentine's Day, so normally everything is more expensive. On this occasion, when we booked we were told it would be normal price. On the day, however, we were charged the Valentine's price. When we brought this to the attention of the staff they just said "oh sorry", and handed me my bill back. My partner left a review on here and was told someone would contact us to arrange a refund for the difference around 5 days ago, so far... we are yet to here from anyone.

This was my second visit to the twisted spoon and it won't be my last. The food is fantastic and the service professional and friendly. The full English I had was possibly the best I have every had and the cakes are stunning. I cannot say enough good things about them

Popped in for Afternoon Tea, my friend had a slice of chocolate cake, I had the Cream Tea, both were delicious, mouth watering cakes available and the Coffee was great. Thoroughly recommend

I organised a surprise tea party here at the weekend and it was fabulous. Everyone commented on how lovely the food was, it was the perfect setting . Thank you once again.

A lovely escape from all those city cafe chains... The coffee is just as good (if not better)... The cakes are fresher... the food is made to order and the breakfasts, oh don't get me thinking about the breakfasts... they are brilliant (better than Bills!). With friendly helpful staff and a charming atmosphere, this place is a real discovery and hard to beat.

This is the best update of a roadside pub I've ever seen. The Tea Shop side was beautifully presented and I would have loved to sit and chill there for longer than the time I had available. Earl Grey tea was refreshing and the choc and cherry cake was gorgeous. I'll definitely visit again, even if it's massively out of my way.
