We came here for a hearty lunch and got the welcome to go with it too. Charming pub, left untouched by modern standards and it was a delight. The lady lady has been here over 30 years and gave us a lot of information about its history of the unusual pub. All her food was home cooked from local ingredients. The food was hot and tasty and plenty of it. Dont expect a card machine to pay or modern coffee machine. Well worth a visit. While you are here visit the tourist office and lovely free to visit Tudor house museum.

Original pub. Familiar beers but classic/old pumps add to the authenticity of this pub and make them something different…

A traditional pub with food, as the name suggests 100's of mugs hung from the ceiling. Excellent Sunday lunch & wide selection of other dishes available during the week. Small rear garden., Worth a visit.

Booked in for Sunday 27/03/22 for 4 diners & neither one of us were disappointed with the well cooked Sunday Roast. Large portion size meals & very reasonable in price. In total paid GBP 57.50.
Cosy atmosphere & friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Met my wife here 30 years ago. Went back today 30 years later and was not disappointed. The owner/landlady was very friendly on arrival, ordered food. This was beautiful piping hot food, full of flavour and delicious throughout. Might be an old place but full of character and wouldn't expect any change. Brilliant place, fantastic food definitely going back and would highly recommend.

We just popped in for a quick drink. Very nice old pub with quirky mad o Rourkes decor. Friendly staff. I will visit again when in the area to sample the food.

We love this place. We had a great lunch

Great Guinness and fabulous Desperate Dan pie with excellent quality beef and vegetables.
It's a pity the landlady gets bad feedback, she can be a bit officious but she is a very kind caring person, fetched a bowl of water for my dog when we arrived.

A VERY unique place. Due to there being one lady serving and cooking there was a wait on the food, but it was well worth the wait. The Desperate Dan pie was to die for & I'm sure that we'll go back for more VERY soon 😁
