Lovely village pub. Great food and very good value for money. I especially like their selection of beers on tap. Plenty of parking available and a nice little beer garden too!
Our 1st visit and won't be the last. We both had the homemade pies. They were the best pies I have ever tasted. Even better than ones I make! Everything homemade except the bread and ice-cream! We will definitely return.
Great service, very good food , good selection of beers and spirits , I definitely recommend, and as it is owned by the community, it's putting something back into the local area, so have an extra pint , it's for a good cause 😃
Absolutely outstanding food and brilliant value for money! I visited with my partner last week, we were staying locally in Lower Loxley whilst visiting alton towers. Service was brilliant and staff very kindly provided some recommendations which went down a treat! We later found out that the pub has been recently taken over by locals, who should all be extremely proud of what they have come together to produce. I think I'd travel the 3hr journey from home just to eat here again!

Very welcoming staff, couldn't do enough for you. The food is amazing. The roast chicken is like having a banquet. The steak was cooked to perfection. Pickled onion ring why have I never had these before, wow. Highly recommend a visit if you're near or not. Worth the trip you won't regret it
We have been spoilt today! Expecting normal Pub menu and food..... What did we get a fantastic community run pub with staff that brilliant and service great, But that's not the best the food was fantastic, menu catered for GF V D
My wife had the Sea Bass, l had the special Chicken, all freshly cooked, l couldn't fault the food it's at the top of our go to pub for food now. thanks to all the staff and the Chefs kitchen staff for a great lunchtime meal
Really friendly, attentive and professional staff. Everybody that I had any interaction with couldn't be more helpful. Good selections of drinks and food. They made me and my family feel very welcome during a spontaneous visit on the way home from Alton Towers.
Absolutely loved this place, first time we have visited, definitely won't be the last. From the warm welcome and brilliant friendly staff, to the sublime food it was a winner. Thoroughly recommend to anyone. Be sure to check out the specials board!
We had a family Sunday lunch today and it was amazing the meal was just lovely very generous portions and delicious ,and the service was outstanding,nothing was any trouble,and as we had a birthday cake to celebrate and they served it .Thank you all very much for making a birthday family getting together so special
And our puppy also welcomed and given treats
