Friendly & welcoming, can recommend chicken burger with homemade coleslaw super tasty, very dog friendly.
There are less and less pubs like this. Not a chain pub and no claim to be a gastro-pub. Just freshly cooked food from local ingredients. Good beer prices with a range of lagers and cask beers. Dog friendly.
Excellent food, drinks and service Fantastic little pub and excellent value Visited again whilst in the area, exceptional food and service once again!
Excellent don't know why we've never been in before. Had the legendary steak sandwich, it was lovely. And Amanda the bar maid was made us feel very welcome. Will be making a return visit.
My wife and I dropped in for lunch and it was thoroughly enjoyable. Excellent aperitifs, pint of pedigree for me and Sauvignon Blanc (exceptional) for my wife. Classic burger for me and sirloin for my wife superbly cooked. This was our first visit and we will definitely go here again.
A great independent pub, nice interior, excellent staff, great food. Sadly no decent coffee the only blemish,🥲 oh and I have never ever understood the fad for serving food on boards instead of on a PLATE -especially to children. Grrrr
This quaint local pub was one of the best places I have been. Service was fantastic, food incredible. I am a local and had only been here years ago, I will be returning and regularly with this standard.
Went in on the off chance. What a lovely find. We had Sunday dinner which was absolutely the best I've had in a very long time. Gravy is a must. If ever your around this area go in and try there Sunday Roast. Staff are so very friendly too. Will definitely go there again
Stopped in on our way back from alton towers and was not dissapointed. Food was all fresh and some of the best I've ever eaten. The staff were all friendly and service was great, thankyou to Mandy who served us. There was a bit of a long wait for food but for fresh food that did not bother us at all
Lovely English pub with a great feeling. Spotless bathrooms and quaint setup for drinking or dining. Haven't tried the food, but the service is exemplary.
Excellent food, super simple ordering process with safe practices, superb value for money and friendly, relaxed, polite, timely and attentive service. Defo will be revisiting
We had a lovely meal at the Plough Inn. Both the food and the service was excellent. We could not fault it. The menu had a very good choice of different dishes and was a reasonable price. I would highly recommend having a meal there. I shall definitely be going back.
WHAT A FIND! In short - Friendly, relaxed local pub with great staff and beer. In long - My car broke down outside this pub on a Sunday evening. Couldn't have happened in a better location - two lads working behind the bar were incredible helpful and friendly. I ended up waiting four hours for th
As far as the pub itself - I cannot comment. As I have never been. However a family member has a crisis with a car today and had to pull into their carpark as an emergency. The manager was very lovely and understanding, allowing us to leave the car for as long as we needed. It took us the extra str
Had a very lovely meal here. The staff were really friendly and the food was fantastic. It's dog friendly and I was able to get in and around in my wheelchair. If I could ask for one thing it would be a drop down bar in the disabled loo. I'll definitely go again though, without hesitation
Great meal last night and excellent value for money. The Plough is also host for the monthly Committee meetings of our Autism Support Group
Great place, great service, great beer, great food. Definitely be back.
Very cozy vibe, good beer and great food. Another bonus is that the staff are all super friendly. This place doesn't get the credit it deserves.
