Discovering this gem has added a new staple to my foodie adventures in England. Renowned for its fish and chips, the establishment offers a delightful twist for the gluten-sensitive among us. Every Tuesday, they roll out an extensive gluten-free menu, catering to diverse dietary needs without compromising on the authentic taste that makes British cuisine iconic.
Their standard fare is nothing short of exemplary, but it's the inclusivity that really wins the day. Venturing into their gluten-free offerings, I was thrilled by the breadth of choices. However, while most of the menu lived up to the hype, I found the gluten-free curry sauce to be a bit of a letdown. It lacked the robust flavor that I had come to expect from their other offerings.
Regardless, that minor hiccup didn’t dampen the overall dining experience. I’d still highly recommend this haven for anyone keen on enjoying a classic English dish, whether you're on a gluten-free diet or not. The welcoming ambiance and high-quality fare make it a must-visit spot for both locals and tourists alike.
Called in the middle of the afternoon. Parked easily and were greeted warmly. Sat in and food arrived quite quickly. Fish was fresh and moist and rather too hot to eat at first. But best of all spent some time chatting to the guy that served us. Made us feel really welcome.
Church Hills Restaurant serves the most delicious fish and chips I've ever tasted! The fish was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, while the chips were seasoned to perfection. The portion size was generous, and the flavors were spot on. The cozy ambiance and friendly staff made the dining experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend trying their fish and chips if you're a seafood lover!
First time here. Got take out. It was really enjoyable. Sampled both the haddock and cod. Nice big pieces of fish. They also do gluten free at the beginning of the week!
We went here in particular to try the new fish and chips vegan option. I was left underwhelmed by the vegan fish as it looked and tasted like a soya 'chicken' fillet and did not mimic anything like fish. The chips however were on point. Also ordered the green glory goujons which tasted good.
Lovely staff and food there. They have some fish n chips related jokes on the wall; it was amusing to whilst waiting for our food.
The food was reasonably priced and portion was also very generous. Although I found the chicken a bit too dry, the squid and chips were lovely!
The chips came out piping hot and the saveloy was delicious. Only critique was that there were like 5 tables seated, which might have been a lot for this chippy to be fair, but I thought it took a little bit too long for my food to come out given the simplicity of my order. The guy serving was lovely mind you and most importantly: it was clean inside and everywhere I was looking around
I've come here a few times with family. The food on the a la carte menu is good - tasty, good portions, nice batter and has tartar sauce. Battered sausage is good.
The lunchtime fish and chips deal is not worth it - the fish was smaller than the kids meal! And the onion rings "portion" consists of 5 lonely rings, again not worth it .
Otherwise, the fish is tasty, fries are good, service is good when it's not too busy.

If you want to taste the real fish and chips in London, you have to try this place. One of the best and cozy places in Uxbridge, London. I’ll put it my schedule, whenever I am traveling to London.
I think this is the best fish & chip shop I have ever been in. I had Haddock (med), chips, bread & butter roll & a gherkin. The batter on the fish was outstanding, bread & butter roll was so fresh and I know this will sound unbelievable but the gherkin was perfect, never tasted one like it before. The Latte coffee just rounded everything off nicely.
Superb fish and chips. I had a large cod and chips with mushy peas and curry sauce. The fish and chips were freshly cooked. Good portions of the peas and curry. Nice, bright, clean restaurant for eating in. Clean toilets too. Polite service. I would happily eat here again and can't say anything negative about my enjoyable experience here.
Impressed with the listing of a few vegan options! Enjoyed the green goujons over the fish fillet and they gave so many chips! Great chips and mushy peas.
Establishment is large with plenty tables and chairs for seating. Was quiet on a Sunday afternoon. Also has a free Car Park right outside.
I have been to this place now 3 times and I feel these is the best F&C in the area. The fish Is always fresh, not overpowered by pastry and doesn't feel that greasy. Chips feel like home made. Portions are massive, I can never finish chips. The customer service is always friendly, helpful and cheerful. I would highly recommend Churchill.
Had an annoying member of staff thought she was Adele & could sing. So we had to endure that through our meal. Couldn't eat our food fast enough. It was a good meal though.
